TL;DR: Five Japanese patients with MH‐like BCL appear to form a peculiar variant of IVL, characterized by bone marrow involvement at presentation, haemophagocytic syndrome, and a rapidly aggressive clinical course, but rarely neurological complications or skin lesions, which may merit separate consideration.
Abstract: Malignant histiocytosis (MH)-like B-cell lymphoma (BCL) is a neoplastic proliferation of large B cells clinically characterized by fever, hepatosplenomegaly, haemophagocytosis and abnormal laboratory data, without lymphadenopathy or skin lesions. Interestingly, most cases have been reported in Asian patients, and it is unclear whether MH-like BCL is biologically distinct from conventional large B-cell lymphomas. We report five Japanese patients with MH-like BCL. Biopsied specimens of bone marrow, liver and/or spleen showed infiltration of neoplastic B cells accompanied by haemophagocytosing histiocytes. Lymphoma cells were positive for CD19, CD20 and HLA-DR surface antigens, and negative for CD5 and CD10. In four cases elevated serum levels of interleukin (IL)-6 and the soluble IL-2 receptor isoform were noted, but not IL-1beta, IL-2 or tumour necrosis factor-alpha. Autopsies of two cases were pathologically diagnosed as intravascular lymphomatosis (IVL). Based on these observations, the current and nine previous cases reported as MH-like BCL in Japan were re-evaluated. They appear to form a peculiar variant of IVL, characterized by bone marrow involvement at presentation, haemophagocytic syndrome, and a rapidly aggressive clinical course, but rarely neurological complications or skin lesions. This variant may merit separate consideration because of the problems posed in the initial diagnosis and therapeutic approaches.

TL;DR: In this article, a quantitative model was developed to estimate the performance decay after degradation of a proton-exchange-membrane-fuel-cell with potential cycling and showed that more than half of the performance decays at high current densities originated from the increased transport overpotential.

TL;DR: An anti-drowsing device according to the present invention has a PCS ECU 230 that outputs a warning via a buzzer 240 when a collision possibility between a preceding object and the vehicle is detected; a warning control ECU 110 that establishes an early-warning mode in which a warning is output earlier from that used in a normal mode; and a driver monitor camera 212 and driver monitor ECU 210 that monitors a driver's eyes as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: An anti-drowsing device according to the present invention has a PCS ECU 230 that outputs a warning via a buzzer 240 when a collision possibility between a preceding object and the vehicle is detected; a warning control ECU 110 that establishes an early-warning mode in which a warning is output earlier from that used in a normal mode; and a driver monitor camera 212 and a driver monitor ECU 210 that monitors a driver's eyes. The warning control ECU 110 establishes the early-warning mode when the eye-closing period d of the driver becomes equal to or greater than a first threshold value dTh, and thereafter maintains the early-warning mode until the eye-closing period d of the driver falls below a second threshold value ldTh.

TL;DR: In this paper, an all-solid-state lithium ion secondary battery containing a novel garnet-type oxide serving as a solid electrolyte is presented. But the authors do not consider the effect of the oxide on the performance of the battery.
Abstract: An all-solid-state lithium ion secondary battery containing a novel garnet-type oxide serving as a solid electrolyte. The garnet-type lithium ion-conducting oxide is one represented by the formula Li5+XLa3(ZrX, A2-X)O12, wherein A is at least one selected from the group consisting of Sc, Ti, V, Y, Nb, Hf, Ta, Al, Si, Ga, Ge, and Sn and X satisfies the inequality 1.4≦X<2, or is one obtained by substituting an element having an ionic radius different from that of Zr for Zr sites in an garnet-type lithium ion-conducting oxide represented by the formula Li7La3Zr2O12, wherein the normalized intensity of an X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern with a diffraction peak, as normalized on the basis of the intensity of a diffraction peak, is 9.2 or more.

TL;DR: In this paper, an exhaust gas purification device comprising a three way catalyst, an oxidizing catalyst and a NOx absorbent which are arranged in this order in the exhaust passage is presented.
Abstract: An exhaust gas purification device comprising a three way catalyst, an oxidizing catalyst and a NOx absorbent which are arranged in this order in the exhaust passage. A rich air-fuel mixture is burned in the combustion chamber, and secondary air is supplied upstream of the three way catalyst so as to make the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas flowing into the three way catalyst a rich air-fuel ratio greater than the air-fuel ratio of the air-fuel mixture burned in the combustion chamber. Further, secondary air is supplied upstream of the oxidizing catalyst to make the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas flowing into the oxidizing catalyst and the NOx absorbent slightly leaner than the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio.
