TL;DR: In this article, a controller predicts a requested state of charge/discharge corresponding to a future run of a hybrid vehicle and increases a target SOC of an HV battery to increase the value to which the battery will be converged in preparation for the great discharge.
Abstract: A controller (32) predicts a requested state of charge/discharge corresponding to a future run of a hybrid vehicle. If it is predicted that the hybrid vehicle will be stopped and restarted, or will be greatly accelerated and therefore that a request for a great discharge will be outputted in the future, the controller (32) increases a target SOC of an HV battery (22) to increase the value to which the charge of the HV battery (22) will be converged in preparation for the great discharge. If it is predicted that a great regenerative electric power will be generated by a vehicle deceleration and therefore that a request for charging will be outputted, the target SOC is reduced, and the amount of charge in the HV battery (22) is reduced, so that the regenerative power generated can be efficiency recovered.

TL;DR: This survey provides an extensive overview of V2X ecosystem, identified semantic gaps of existing security solutions and outline possible open issues, and reviews main security/privacy issues, current standardization activities and existing defense mechanisms proposed within the V2x domain.
Abstract: Modern vehicular wireless technology enables vehicles to exchange information at any time, from any place, to any network–forms the vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication platforms. Despite benefits, V2X applications also face great challenges to security and privacy–a very valid concern since breaches are not uncommon in automotive communication networks and applications. In this survey, we provide an extensive overview of V2X ecosystem. We also review main security/privacy issues, current standardization activities and existing defense mechanisms proposed within the V2X domain. We then identified semantic gaps of existing security solutions and outline possible open issues.

TL;DR: In this article, the battery pack is disposed on a rear side of a rear seat, and the battery is fixed to an upper side of the mount by bolts, such that the battery moves when an impact is applied on it.
Abstract: A structure for mounting a battery pack on a vehicle includes a mount for supporting the battery pack. The battery pack is fixed to an upper side of the mount by bolts. The battery pack is disposed on a rear side of a rear seat. The battery pack includes screw holes through which the bolts are inserted. The screw holes have closed shapes. The screw holes are long in a front-rear direction and formed so that the battery pack moves when an impact is applied on it. A fixed state of the battery pack by the bolts is canceled after movement of the battery pack.

TL;DR: In this article, a stator of a rotary electric machine is provided, where the proportion of the cross sectional area of a coil in the cross-sectional area of the slot is high, and an electric power loss due to leakage flux can be reduced.
Abstract: There is provided a stator of a rotary electric machine in which the proportion of the cross sectional area of a coil in the cross sectional area of the slot is high, and an electric power loss due to leakage flux can be reduced. The stator is a stator of a rotary electric machine including a stator and a rotor. The stator includes a stator core having multiple slots in a direction parallel to a rotational axis of the rotary electric machine, and a laminated flat-body conductor which is formed, in a press process, by laminating a predetermined number of flat-body conductors each of which has a predetermined shape. According to the predetermined shape, the flat-plate conductor has an open end portion such that the flat-plate conductor can be fitted in the stator core. The laminated flat-body conductor is inserted in the slots of the stator core, and the open end portion of the laminated flat-plate conductor is closed, whereby a coil is formed.

TL;DR: In this article, a support substrate, a catalyst carrier layer formed on the support substrate and catalyst ingredients loaded on the carrier layer, wherein the catalyst carrier consists of alumina, cerium oxide, zirconium oxide and at least one oxide of rare earth element except cerium and lanthanum.
Abstract: A catalyst for purification of exhaust gases, comprising a support substrate, a catalyst carrier layer formed on the support substrate and catalyst ingredients loaded on the catalyst carrier layer, wherein the catalyst carrier layer comprises alumina, cerium oxide, zirconium oxide and at least one oxide of rare earth element except cerium and lanthanum, and at least a part of cerium oxide, zirconium oxide and oxide of rare earth element except cerium and lanthanum is present in the form of composite oxide and/or solid solution. The catalyst for purification of exhaust gases is capable of purifying exhaust gases containing carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC) and nitrogen oxides (NOx).
