TL;DR: In this paper, the authors further develop their understanding of this methodological alternative by elaborating on the objective and mechanisms of its analytic processes and by expanding their consideration of its interpretive products.
Abstract: The past decade has witnessed remarkable evolution within qualitative health research as scholars have moved beyond initial adherence to the specific methods of phenomenology, grounded theory, and ethnography to develop methods more responsive to the experience-based questions of interest to a practice-based discipline. Interpretive description (Thorne, Reimer Kirkham, & MacDonald-Emes, 1997) is an inductive analytic approaches designed to create ways of understanding clinical phenomena that yield applications implications. In this article, we further develop our understanding of this methodological alternative by elaborating on the objective and mechanisms of its analytic processes and by expanding our consideration of its interpretive products.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors combine appropriate measures of culture's impact with careful attention to intrinsically cultural performance-related organizational processes to accurately analyze culture-performance links, and they conclude that strong culture models oversimplify the relationship.
Abstract: It is reasonable to expect that a phenomenon as pervasive as organizational culture affects organizational performance. “Strong” culture models, however, oversimplify the relationship. If scholars are to accurately analyze culture-performance links, they must combine more appropriate measures of culture's impact with careful attention to intrinsically cultural performance-related organizational processes.

TL;DR: An abbreviated form of the EPQR, consisting of four scales of 6 items each, is developed from the 48-item short form EPQr as mentioned in this paper. But the reliability of the scales of this abbreviated questionnaire, together with their correlations with the longer parent scales of the short form and the well established EPQ, are explored among samples of 685 students from England, Canada, the U.S.A. and Australia.

TL;DR: In this paper, a comparative study of work-family stressors, work hours, and well-being was described contrasting three culturally distinct regions: Anglo (Australia, Canada, England, New Zealand, and U.S.), China (Hong Kong, People's Republic of China, and Taiwan) and Latin America (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, and Uruguay).
Abstract: 258A comparative study of work–family stressors, work hours, and well-being was described contrasting 3 culturally distinct regions: Anglo (Australia, Canada, England, New Zealand, and U.S.), China (Hong Kong, People’s Republic of China, and Taiwan) and Latin America (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, and Uruguay). Samples of managers were surveyed in each country, and country data were combined for the 3 regions. Support was found for the hypothesis that Anglos would demonstrate a stronger positive relation between work hours and work–family stressors than Chinese and Latins. In all 3 samples, work–family stressors related to increased job satisfaction and reduced well-being. Latins were found to work the most hours, have the most children, and report the highest job satisfaction. China was the only region in which being married and having more children related positively to all measures of well-being.
