TL;DR: In this paper, a composite hydrogel of poly(acrylamide-co-acrylate) with rice husk ash (RHA) was synthesized and studies of the swelling variables were accomplished comparatively with commercial polyacrylonitrile gel and PAMACRYL, a poly(ACrylamides-Co-ACrylate), without RHA, and showed good characteristics to be applied as soil conditioner for using in agriculture.
Abstract: Composite hydrogels of poly(acrylamide-co-acrylate) with rice husk ash (RHA) were synthesized and studies of the swelling variables were accomplished comparatively with commercial polyacrylamide gel and PAMACRYL, a poly(acrylamide-co-acrylate) hydrogel without RHA. FT-IR and WAXS were the techniques employed for characterizing a series of hydrogel obtained by varying the percentage of RHA (1, 2, 5, 10, and 20 wt %) and the amount of crosslinking agent (0.05, 0.1, and 0.2 mol %) relative to sum of AAm and AAc. Superabsorbent hydrogel with Weq > 800 g H2O/g gel was obtained with percentage of 10 wt % of RHA and 0.1 of crosslinking agent mol %. The hydrogel showed to be sensitive to the pH variation and to the presence of salts. The hydrogels, even though submitted through cycles of drying and swelling, preserved their superabsorbent characteristics and demonstrated better water absorbance properties when compared with commercial polyacrylamide gel. The composite hydrogels of poly(acrylamide-co-acrylate) with RHA presented good characteristics to be applied as soil conditioner for using in agriculture.

TL;DR: Two new furanoflavonoids, 5-hydroxy-2'2''-isopropenyl-3-methoxyfurane-(2",3":7,8)-flavone and 5 -hydroxyl-1methylethyl)-3methoxidefurane(2,3": 7,8), along with thirteen other known compounds were isolated from the root barks of Lonchocarpus obtusus (Leguminosae) as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: Two new furanoflavonoids, 5-hydroxy-2’’-isopropenyl-3-methoxyfurane-(2",3":7,8)-flavone and 5-hydroxy-2’’-(1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl)-3-methoxyfurane-(2",3":7,8)-flavone, along with thirteen other known compounds, were isolated from the root barks of Lonchocarpus obtusus (Leguminosae). The structures of all compounds were determined by spectrometric methods such as 1D and 2D NMR (COSY, HSQC and HMBC) and HREISMS beside comparison with spectral data for similar compounds.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyze the working process of family health strategy managers from the perspective of the concept of territory as a space of power relations and production of individuals, with 28 FHS territory managers from November 2006 to June 2007.
Abstract: The study aims to analyze the working process of Family Health Strategy managers from the perspective of the concept of territory as a space of power relations and production of individuals. The research is exploratory-descriptive with a qualitative approach. The study was conducted in Sobral-Ceará, with 28 FHS territory managers, from November 2006 to June 2007. Data were collected using the focus group technique and analyzed based on the collective subject discourse. The working process of the managers is based on the management models of Taylor, Ford and Toyo, even though the municipal health administration gives priority to the practice of participative management. Most managers act as nursing assistants in their territory. Managers should seek to organize their working process with a logic focused on the users and should collectively manage the territory with the team, using FHS-appropriate management tools.

TL;DR: There was a quadratic behavior for egg production, eggmass, egg mass conversion, conversion per dozen eggs and shell thickness according to the chlorine levels in the diets, with the requirements for those parameters established at 1.39 g/kg of chlorine and 244.22 mEq/ kg of electrolyte balance in diets for Japanese quails.
Abstract: The objective of this study was to determine the chlorine nutritional requirement of Japanese Quails during the laying phase, based on performance and egg quality parameters. A total of 240 Japanese quails were distributed according to a randomized block design, with five treatments and six replicates, with 8 birds each. The experiment lasted 84 days, divided in four cycles of 21 days each. Treatments consisted of a basal diet formulated to meet the nutritional requirements, except for chlorine, and four supplementation levels with ammonium chloride, generating the levels 0.8; 1.6; 2.4; 3.2 and 4.0 g/kg. The parameters evaluated were: feed intake (g/bird/day), egg production (egg/bird/day), egg weight (g), egg mass (g), egg mass conversion (g/g), conversion per dozen eggs (kg/dz), weight of yolk (g/100 g of egg), albumen (g/100g of egg) and shell (g/100 g of egg), specific gravity (g/cm3) and shell thickness (mm). As a result of this study, feed intake, egg weight, weights of albumen, yolk, shell and specific gravity were not affected by treatments. There was a quadratic behavior for egg production, egg mass, egg mass conversion, conversion per dozen eggs and shell thickness according to the chlorine levels in the diets, with the requirements for those parameters established at 1.54; 1.37; 1.39 and 2.78 g/kg, respectively. The recommendation is 1.39 g/kg of chlorine and 244.22 mEq/kg of electrolyte balance in diets for Japanese quails.
