TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a numerical study to investigate the transmission, extinction ratio, crosstalk and compression factor outputs of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer in photonic crystal fibers.
Abstract: In this work, we present a numerical study to investigate the transmission, extinction ratio, crosstalk and compression factor outputs of a Mach–Zehnder interferometer in photonic crystal fibers by varying the nonlinearity parameter of the fiber from β = 1 to β = 2 for three different nonlinearity profiles (constant, increasing and decreasing) and in three different scenarios (P0 = Pc, P0 Pc). We observed that the highest transmission (T = 67%), the highest extinction ratio (XR = 3.57 dB) and the lowest crosstalk (Xtalk = -5.25 dB) occurred in the third scenario (P0 = 110 kW > Pc) considering the decreasing profile for β = 1.35. Such condition enables applications such as TDMA and logic circuits.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors conducted a survey in the Virtual Health Library, annals from the Brazilian Congress of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, and Theses and Dissertations to identify the state of the question on the performance and the insertion of speech, language and hearing sciences in the family health strategy.
Abstract: The insertion of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences in the Family Health Strategy is something new and studies in this field are scarce. In light of this, the objective of this study was to identify, from national and international literature, the state of the question on the performance and the insertion of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences in the Family Health Strategy. For this purpose, we conducted a survey in the Virtual Health Library, annals from the Brazilian Congress of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, and Theses and Dissertations. From the study, it was possible to detect that lack of training for the speech, language and hearing therapist for work in Family Health Strategy is one of the main limiting factors for the insertion and performance of these professionals in this scenario; it was evident that few scientific publications address the theme; and it revealed that the Multi-professional Residency in Family Health has become essential to bridge the gap in the training of the speech, language and hearing therapists in Primary Health Care. There are many challenges for the Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences category to consolidate their performance in the Family Health Strategy, but, in spite of these weaknesses, their work in the territory promotes care that provides more quality of life and health to the population.

TL;DR: Both of genetic groups were adapted to tropical weather conditions, nevertheless, despite the better performance showed by the animals RED during the suckling and the fattening phases, the NEL animal may be indicated because of the similar slaughter body weight.
Abstract: The aim of this study was to evaluate the performance and the adaptive profile of de 25 steers ¶ Angus x µ Nelore (RED) and 25 steersAngus xNelore (NEL), during the milking and the fattening phas- es, in an intensive system, at Rio Grande do Norte state. The body weights, anterior and posterior high, as well as the thoracic perimeter, were monthly measured to evaluate the growth pattern. As adaptive responses were registered rectal temperature and hair coat traits. The statistical analyzes were based in the minimum square method, utilized mixed models. At the beginning of the trial both of genetic groups presented the same body weight (103,03kg) and from the second sampling on the animals RED were superior in comparison with the NEL and showed higher body weight at the weaning (181,60kg RED e 158,57kg NEL) and the 13th months. On the other hand, there was no difference between the genetic groups for the final weight (slaughter body weight). There were differences in all the performance characteristics analyzed. The RED group was superior in relation to the NEL group. The hair coat characteristics didn't differ between the genetic groups, except the hair coat length, which was higher in the RED animals. We concluded that both of genetic groups were adapted to tropical weather conditions, nevertheless, despite the better performance showed by the animals RED during the suckling and the fattening phases, the NEL animal may be indicated because of the similar slaughter body weight.

TL;DR: In this paper, a projeto terapeutico de usuarios de crack and alcool atendidos no Centro de Atencao Psicossocial Alcool e outras Drogas was analyzed.
Abstract: Objetivo: analisar o projeto terapeutico de usuarios de crack e alcool atendidos no Centro de Atencao Psicossocial Alcool e outras Drogas.

TL;DR: It can be concluded that the performance of the phantom was highly satisfactory showing to be efficient for use in quality control testing of dental X-rays, the quality control of radiographs and continuing education of dental professionals for a price much more accessible.
Abstract: This study aimed to develop a dental phantom with cysts for evaluation of periapical radiographs that was tested in private dental offices in the city of Maraba, northern Brazil. Through some tests with the object simulator (phantom) were obtained 12 periapical radiographs (one in each of the offices visited) that waking up to the standards of Ordinance N°. 453 were visually evaluated by observing the physical parameters of exposure (kVp and mA), time revelation of the radiographic film, later the other radiographs were visually compared with C6 ray set as the default. Among the results, it was found that only two of the twelve rays cysts could not be viewed and, therefore, these two images were deemed unsuitable for accurate diagnosis in the 10 images the cysts could be displayed, however according the images have different qualities comparisons. In addition, it can be concluded that the performance of the phantom was highly satisfactory showing to be efficient for use in quality control testing of dental X-rays, the quality control of radiographs and continuing education of dental professionals for a price much more accessible.
