01 Dec 2018TL;DR: An Add-on is proposed for the PTM technique to increase its accuracy, providing an analysis of Single Event Transient faults in transistor-level and the results shown that it is important to add a new level of information to the P TM technique in order to make possible the analysis of different circuit configurations that performs the same logic function to choose the best option in the design.
Abstract: The progressive downscaling of feature sizes increases the susceptibility to Single Event Effects in integrated circuits, mainly due to the voltage scaling. As a manner to mitigate this problem, redundancy techniques are constantly applied. To perform an accurate analysis for circuit reliability, in order to choose the best design alternative and minimize the impact of these redundancy techniques in the circuit, the PTM method is one of the most precise alternative. In this paper, it is proposed an Add-on for the PTM technique to increase its accuracy, providing an analysis of Single Event Transient faults in transistor-level. The results shown that it is important to add a new level of information to the PTM technique in order to make possible the analysis of different circuit configurations that performs the same logic function to choose the best option in the design.

TL;DR: In this paper, a photoactive complex based on europium(III) using the amino acid phenylalanine as ligand was prepared and characterized, and the observed photoluminescent behavior was similar to the well known Europium (III)/ acetyl-β-acetonate hydrate.

TL;DR: This study shows for the first time the presence of Paracoccidioides spp.
Abstract: High rates of paracoccidioidomycosis disease and infection have been recently reported in southern Brazil. However, the knowledgment about the ecoepidemiology of Paracoccidioides spp. in the region is limited, therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the presence of Paracoccidioides spp. DNA in soil samples from a rural area in Southern Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Thirty pools of soil samples from Bage, RS (31o19′53"S 54o06′25"W) were submitted to physicochemical analysis, and to fungal DNA extraction by Norgen Biotek® Kit (Thorold, Canada), followed by Nested PCR technique with ITS4 and ITS5 as external primers, and PBITS-E and PBITS-T as internal primers. DNA amplification products of about 424 bp compatible with Paracoccidioides spp. were detected in eight (26.7%) of the 30 pools of samples, being three were sequenced and identified as P. brasiliensis. Positive soils were characterized by high levels of humidity, organic matter, basic saturation, and pH. This study shows for the first time the presence of Paracoccidioides spp. DNA at soils from the Brazilian Pampa Biome, proving that people living in those areas are exposed to the main agent of paracoccidioidomycosis.
