TL;DR: In this paper, a carie precoce na infância (CSI) and severa carie severa at infóncia are coletadas a partir de artigos cientificos publicados nas bases de dados SciELO, MEDLINE e PUBMED.

TL;DR: This work aimed to compare the current diagnostic methods for Chagas disease, including conventional serological and ELISA and molecular techniques (PCR), to introduce PCR as an auxiliary technique.
Abstract: Introduction Trypanosoma cruzi, a flagellated protozoan, is the etiologic agent of Chagas disease, and it is estimated that approximately 5 million people in Brazil are infected with this parasite. This work aimed to compare the current diagnostic methods for Chagas disease, including conventional serological (IFAT and ELISA) and molecular techniques (PCR), to introduce PCR as an auxiliary technique. Methods A total of 106 chagasic patients were evaluated: 88 from endemic areas of Parana, 6 from Sao Paulo, 3 from Minas Gerais, 3 from Rio Grande do Sul, 1 from Bahia and 5 from the Santa Catarina T. cruzi outbreak. The samples were analyzed by conventional serological methods (IFAT, ELISA), hemoculture and PCR to confirm Chagas disease. Results When IFAT was used to determine antibody levels, the sensitivity was 81.7% for patients with the cardiac form of the disease and 100% for the other clinical forms. In contrast, ELISA showed 84% sensitivity and 100% specificity. The use of serological and molecular techniques and their implications for the diagnosis of Chagas disease in non-endemics area are discussed. Conclusions PCR constitutes an excellent support methodology for the laboratory diagnosis of Chagas disease due to its high sensitivity and specificity.

TL;DR: In this paper, characteristics and changes occurred in the configuration of the network of coauthorships formed by professors of Brazilian programs of post graduate (stricto sensu) in administration in the period from 2001 to 2006.
Abstract: This article describes and it analyzes characteristics and changes occurred in the configuration of the network of co-authorships formed by professors of Brazilian programs of post graduate (stricto sensu) in administration in the period from 2001 to 2006. The empiric reference includes 703 professors linked to national programs of post graduate in Administration. For the analysis of the social networks and co-authorships of the publications we used the softwares Ucinet 6 and Pajek 1.21. There was significant growth in the number of coauthorships of one triennial as in the other (2001-2003 and 2004-2006). The increase in the interaction among researchers might have occurred for changes which occurred in the criterion of the evaluation of Capes; formation of new research groups and/or maturation of those already existent; the search for larger quality of the researches; elevation of the specialization degree in the scientific field; and predominate methodology in the disciplines, among others. The results suggest that the area is consenting to the exigencies of the official organs of accreditation of the post graduate.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors identify the elements that allow understanding the subjectivity of women entrepreneurs according to Gonzalez Rey's theory (2009). Abstract: The purpose of this article is to identify the elements that allow understanding the subjectivity of women entrepreneurs according to Gonzalez Rey's theory (2009). Subjectivity is a configuration of subjective senses originating from individual and social levels. Thus, a subjective constitution is formed by different forces that remain constantly changing throughout subjects' history. The methodology used to achieve the objective of this paper follows Qualitative Epistemology. This is a qualitative approach that uses a set of specific procedures specifically designed to reveal the indicators which form the subjective configuration. The results indicate that women's subjective entrepreneurship configuration rests on subjective meanings associated with the trajectories, context and culture within which the activity is developed. Entrepreneurship in this research appears as an individual characteristic that is formed in childhood. However, these women exist as entrepreneurs throughout their histories; especially when they have to deal with adverse conditions in the business world, which is seen as sexist. In this context, a company's opening is an event that strongly marks these women's histories, with a symbolic nature that becomes an integral part of their subjectivities. Similarly, the multiplicity of roles and competition between social spaces highlight how family interferes with business dynamics, as well as how businesses are present in the home. Also, the way they undertake entrepreneurial activities is delimited by the concrete conditions in which they lived / live.

TL;DR: The assessment using a combination of micronucleus test, nuclear abnormalities, and comet assays proved to be suitable and useful in the genotoxicity testing of 17β-estradiol at nanograms per liter.
Abstract: Pharmacologically active substances used in the treatment of human and animal illnesses may usually enter the aquatic environment via effluents from sewage treatment plants, as they are not completely biodegraded or removed during waste water treatment. 17β-Estradiol genotoxicity was evaluated in Oreochromis niloticus (family Cichlidae) using micronucleus test, other nuclear abnormalities assessment, and the comet assay with erythrocytes. Fish were exposed to aqueous systems contaminated with 6 ng/L 17β-estradiol for three periods: 24 h, 48 h, and 10 days. The results showed that 17β-estradiol has genotoxic potential in different periods, since significant differences (P = 0.036) were observed in the micronucleus frequencies of the 10-day exposure groups in relation to the control group. Also, the same was observed when comparing the nuclear abnormality frequencies (P = 0.018) of the 24-h exposure group with the negative control group, and when using comet assay (P < 0.001) for 48-h evaluations. The tested concentration of the 17β-estradiol gave rise to mutagenic and genotoxic effects on the blood cells of O. niloticus, therefore the substance being considered a clastogenic chemical contaminant on both acute and chronic exposures. The assessment using a combination of micronucleus test, nuclear abnormalities, and comet assays proved to be suitable and useful in the genotoxicity testing of 17β-estradiol at nanograms per liter.
