TL;DR: In this paper, the decay of weakly coupled scalar (S) and pseudoscalar (P) particles in supergravity models has been studied and bounds on the gravitino mass have been obtained.
Abstract: In some supergravity models there are light weakly coupled scalar (S) and pseudoscalar (P) particles. These particles arise following a superlight gravitino. In these models the decay S/P→γγ exists. We examine constraints on this process considering these photons as responsible by the extragalactic background light. We also consider the amount of S/P particles produced through the fusion of the cosmic background photons and contributing to the effective number of light neutrino species during primordial nucleosynthesis. We obtain bounds on the gravitino mass complementary to the existing ones.

TL;DR: Protective Effects of Accumulated Aerobic Exercise in Infarcted Old Rats Daniele Jardim Feriani.
Abstract: Background: Aerobic exercise exerts cardioprotective effects on myocardial infarction. However, there is lack of information about the possible protective effects of continuous or accumulated aerobic exercise performed prior to myocardial infarction in aging. Objective: To evaluate the preventive effects of continuous or accumulated aerobic exercise on physical capacity, pulmonary congestion and ventricular weight in rats submitted to myocardial infarction. Methods: Old male Wistar rats were divided into four groups: sham control, sedentary infarcted, continuous aerobic exercise submitted to myocardial infarction, and accumulated aerobic exercise submitted to myocardial infarction. Body weight and maximum speed were evaluated at the beginning and at the end of the protocol. Trained groups performed continuous (1 h a day) or accumulated (30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon) exercise. All groups, except the sham control, were submitted to myocardial infarction surgery at the end of the protocol. Heart, skeletal muscles, as well as wet and dry lung were weighed. The significance level in statistical analysis was established at p < 0.05. Results: Both continuous and accumulated exercise caused an increase in physical capacity in rats, as well as prevented its further impairment after myocardial infarction, and in the accumulated exercise group this prevention was greater. The continuous exercise group demonstrated an increase in lung water content, while the accumulated exercise group presented a reduction in body weight and an increase in left ventricle relative weight. Conclusion: In conclusion, the data of the present study indicate that accumulated aerobic exercise present a better protective effect than continuous aerobic training in the context of myocardial infarction and aging.

TL;DR: The most robust research available on dietary patterns to reduce the risk of diabetes mainly indicates Mediterranean-style, DASH diet, vegetarian or vegan, and low-carb diet plans.
Abstract: Several studies have suggested that eating patterns are associated with healthy aging and lower risk of diseases such as diabetes. The purpose of this paper is to review recent publications about dietary patterns, diabetes, and aging. The most robust research available on dietary patterns to reduce the risk of diabetes mainly indicates Mediterranean-style, DASH diet, vegetarian or vegan, and low-carb diet plans. An optimal dietary pattern for healthy aging and the treatment of diabetes should emphasize plant-based food (vegetables, beans, nuts and seeds, fruits, and whole intact grains), fish and other seafood, olive oil as the principal source of dietary fat; low-fat dairy products (mainly yoghurt and cheese) in low to moderate amounts; minimized consumption of refined grains; and preference of whole foods over highly processed foods. Further research on this topic is needed.

25 Aug 2021TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyze the role of the Supreme Federal Court in the Brazilian Republic and compare the actions of the court in both the First and Sixth Republics of Brazil.
Abstract: The proactive performance of the Supreme Federal Court has raised criticism and fears over the past few years. It is feared a disharmony between the Powers. However, the answer to this fear would not be an excessive limitation in their performance. For this reason, the present work will analyze the constitutional role of the Judiciary Power in the inauguration of the Brazilian Republic, more specifically its top organ, the Supreme Federal Court. After that, it will briefly and succinctly compare the actions of the Supreme Court in both the First and Sixth Republics of Brazil. Through doctrinal, jurisprudential and normative sources, we will seek to emphasize the importance of the Supreme Federal Court of Brazil in guaranteeing Brazilian constitutional rights, as well as the need to maintain harmony between the Powers.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the contributions, limits and challenges of the PIBID to the first formation of the future school physical education teacher in Brazil, using the content analysis method.
Abstract: The presented paper has the goal of analyzing the contributions, limits and challenges of the PIBID to the first formation of the future school physical education teacher. The paper proceeded to the bibliographical research in which 2637 published papers were analyzed, as abstracts and full scientific papers, in 31 editions of six scientific events about school physical education in Brazil. From the total of paper published in those event annals, 257 of them were related to the PIBID. In order to analyze the data, the content analysis method was applied. The results presented indicate that the PIBID has enabled relevant experiences to the formation of the future teacher. Among the contributions are the contraposition of the dichotomy model of formation, the presence of innovative experiences resulted from the redetermination of teaching practices, new reflections and discussions about the current problems, meaningful learning, collective and participative construction in the school environment.
