TL;DR: In this paper, a comparison between Berkeley's refutation of skepticism in the Principles and in the Three Dialogues is made, and it is shown that not only Berkeley's diagnosis of the causes of skepticism changes from abstract ideas to the notion of matter, but also that he changes his strategy of refutation: from a direct statement of the truth of immaterialism to an examination of the consequences of matter.
Abstract: O artigo compara alguns aspectos da refutacao do ceticismo nos Principios e nos Tres dialogos. Embora normalmente nao se veja nenhuma diferenca importante entre essas obras, duas hipoteses sao defendidas aqui: de um lado, Berkeley desloca o foco de sua critica das ideias abstratas para a nocao de materia e, de outro, muda sua estrategia de combate, da enunciacao imediata da verdade para a lenta elaboracao das consequencias ceticas da nocao de materia. Berkeley’s answers to skepticism Abstract The topic of this paper is a comparison between Berkeley´s refutation of skepticism in the Principles and in the Three Dialogues. It is usually held that there is no philosophical difference between these two works. However, I suggest that not only Berkeley´s diagnosis of the causes of skepticism changes from his criticism of abstract ideas to the notion of matter, but also that he changes his strategy of refutation: from a direct statement of the truth of immaterialism to an examination of the consequences of the notion of matter.

Abstract: The investigation of means and methods of practical influence can assist in training and allow for improved sport performance. Therefore, the objective of this study was to review in the literature methods and means with practical influence on Taekwon-Do specifically. A systematic review was conducted with English/Portuguese descriptors, namely martial arts/ artes marciais , exercise/ exercicios , physical fitness/ aptidao fisica and athletic performance/ desempenho esportivo , on Portal Capes, Sport Discus, Lilacs, Medline and PubMed databases. After application of inclusion and exclusion criteria, 12 studies were selected. In the studies analyzed, 21 types of training means and 19 types of training methodologies were identified. Among the results, there is an evident use of special means, mainly exercises with kicks and the interval method, with high intensity, to prepare athletes to the physiological demands of combat and to develop their aerobic and anaerobic systems.

Abstract: O texto apresenta um estudo realizado com treze criancas brasileiras, matriculadas na quarta serie do ensino fundamental da rede publica do Estado de Sao Paulo, diagnosticadas como possuidoras de Dificuldade de Aprendizagem. O objetivo foi investigar a possibilidade de ampliar a aquisicao, manifestacao e expressao do conhecimento, por parte dessas criancas. Partindo-se da analise bibliografica sobre Aprendizagem, Dificuldade de Aprendizagem e Inteligencias Multiplas, realizaram-se Intervencoes Pedagogicas, visando estimular a pluralidade intelectual desses estudantes. Como metodo de analise optou-se pelo Paradigma Indiciario sugerido por Ginzburg (1989). Os dados levantados em entrevistas e observacoes durante a realizacao das Intervencoes Pedagogicas apontaram sinais que podem ter favorecido a Dificuldade de Aprendizagem no contexto escolar. Apos o periodo das Intervencoes Pedagogicas, percebeu-se que a motivacao, a disciplina, a interacao, a auto-estima e a expressividade melhoraram consideravelmente. Alem disso, os dados apontaram indicios que favorecem a aprendizagem, construidos no percurso da realizacao das Intervencoes Pedagogicas.Palavras-chave: Aprendizagem; Dificuldade de aprendizagem; Inteligencias multiplas

Abstract: Resumo A presente pesquisa teve como objetivo compreender os efeitos da medicalizacao atraves do uso de medicamento no processo de escolarizacao de criancas atendidas em um servico psicologico-escola. Buscou-se, atraves da analise de prontuarios, compreender o que levou ao diagnostico como doenca e consequentemente, a medicalizacao, e quais os efeitos para a crianca, a familia e a escola. Foram lidos 43 prontuarios de um servico psicologico-escola de um curso de psicologia e somente 2 atendiam aos criterios definidos pelas pesquisadoras. Os resultados obtidos com essa pesquisa foram divididos em duas categorias de analise: 1) a familia e a crianca medicalizada e 2) a medicina como panaceia. Como resultados, percebeu-se a continuidade de uma escola que discrimina quem nao atenda ao modelo de aluno e familia que se enquadre as suas modalidades predominantes de ensino, naturalizando como dificuldade individual fenomenos de origem socio-historico-cultural.

Abstract: This study aims at understanding how Freirean theory has been studied by the Physical Education (PE) academic community. A systematic review was carried out in the databases ERIC, SPORTDiscus, and Fuente Academica, with the following descriptors; Empowerment; Critical Theory; and Paulo Freire, combined with Physical Education both in English and Portuguese. Studies about dance, fight, gymnastics, sports, games, games, and/or rhythmic and expressive activities were selected for analysis. Knowledge production and the discussion were mapped for the following categories: Consciousness; Popular culture; and Empowerment. Freirean studies are rare in PE. However, those found show the contribution of Freire’s teachings to a more critical and democratic PE. Therefore, new investigations must further examine Freirean theory and PE.
