TL;DR: This paper proposes a representation that stores a row-sorted 1-variant matrix in O(m log m) space and access time of O(log m) and can be constructed in O-time, which constitutes a nice balance between access time, representation construction time, and space requirement.
Abstract: We investigate the efficient storage of row-sorted 1-variant (m + 1) × (n + 1) matrices, m > n, that have the following properties: the rows are sorted in strictly increasing order and the set of elements of each row differs only by one single element from the set of elements of the next row. It has been shown that row-sorted 1-variant matrices are important in several parallel string comparison applications. Due to the large amount of redundancy in the row elements, we investigate efficient data structures to store such matrices. In this paper we propose a representation that stores a row-sorted 1-variant matrix in O(m log m) space and access time of O(log m) and can be constructed in O(m log m) time. We thus seek a representation that constitutes a nice balance between access time, representation construction time, and space requirement.

TL;DR: In this article, the contribution of futsal practice in global praxis and body image in children in a specialized motor stage, evaluating the motor performance before and after an intervention in the following factors.
Abstract: This current study aims to analyze the contribution of futsal practice in global praxis and body image in children in a specialized motor stage, evaluating the motor performance before and after an intervention in the following factors: hands and feet global praxis and body image. It was adopted the application method of 18 one-hour twice a week session, divided into three modules, I) displacement activities in different directions; II) coordination activities and reaction time and III) throwing and kicking activities. Twenty male participants, aged 8 to 12 years, with normal motor development were used. The survey was conducted at a private school. The results found were a significant improvement in the hits of the tennis balls with hands and make the number of hits in kicking the ball with his feet. Regarding the analysis of body image after the proposed intervention, the children has shown the body parts performance incorporated in drawings that were not previously present. It is concluded that there are positive contributions of the futsal practice in respect to the global praxis practice and body image in children in a specialized motor stage.

TL;DR: In this article, a descriptive, analytical, and reflective approach to the work of Brazilian architect Eduardo de Almeida is presented, based on interpreting works and ideas, highlighting rigor, rationality, tectonic and modular thinking, sensitivity, and discretion.
Abstract: This paper aims to provide a descriptive, analytical, and reflective approach to the work of Brazilian architect Eduardo de Almeida. The method of this approach is a promenade through 54 years of work, following an interpretive walk Almeida proposed in his last lecture in Sao Paulo, in 2014. Visions of the creator and the critic are intertwined here, based on interpreting works and ideas. The focal points of the text highlight some key features of the oeuvre of the architect: rigor, rationality, tectonic and modular thinking, sensitivity, and discretion. These elements define, as well as determinate, the results of the discussed projects. Although for methodological reasons we do not intend to reach any conclusion, this promenade demonstrates that the creative work developed by Almeida was the result of a constant overlapping of clarifying layers of rationality and analysis of his own architectural practice, which, determined by the profession, helped to build the architect's position.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors verified the psychometric properties of the BRUMS mood scale for basketball referees, with performance inside court or as table officials, through Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA).
Participated 308 referees and 83 table officials registered in the Brazilian Basketball Confederation (CBB), n=391, 67.3% males, ranging from 18 to 65 years old, M=33.12 and SD=9.79, who answered to the BRUMS scale validated for Brazilian athletes by Rohlfs (2008). The AFE indicated the presence of four emotional states, two equals the original version (fatigue and vigor), and two new factors, instability emotional (depression-anger) and preoccupation (tension-confusion). The alpha index indicated satisfactory internal consistency of the four factors. The results indicated that the BRUMS-AB scale has good psychometric properties that give it evidence of validity and reliability for its use in the context of basketball refereeing. portuguesO objetivo deste estudo foi verificar as propriedades psicometricas da escala de humor BRUMS para arbitros de basquetebol, com atuacao dentro de quadra ou como oficiais de mesa, por meio da Analise Fatorial Exploratoria (AFE). Os resultados indicaram que a escala BRUMS-AB possui boas propriedades psicometricas que lhe conferem evidencias de validade e confiabilidade para a sua utilizacao no contexto da arbitragem de basquetebol.
