TL;DR: In this article, an etude-pilote et al. evaluated the impact of a formation of a protocole d'accueil des parents d'un enfant admis en reanimation pediatrique (PAPER) on les pratiques professionnelles.

TL;DR: Based on animal test involving laying hens contaminated or not by HBCD through their feed, the present study demonstrates the relevance of using solid phase microextraction-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (SPME-GC-MS) for profiling VOCs in animal-derived products and for determining the markers of HBCd exposure.
Abstract: The flame retardant Hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD) is part of the critical emerging contaminants. The diet is the major route of human exposure to HBCD and consumers may be exposed through a single food intake at very high doses. The only way to guarantee their food safety given the unpredictable isolated cases of high contamination is to propose frequent and large-scale controls, yet the current reference analytical methods are economically inconceivable. Alternative approaches based on targeted quantification of livestock's exposure markers to pollutants are proposed. Among the compounds assumed as potential markers, the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are particularly promising. Based on animal test involving laying hens contaminated or not by HBCD through their feed, the present study demonstrates the relevance of using solid phase microextraction-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (SPME-GC-MS) for profiling VOCs in animal-derived products and for determining the markers of HBCD exposure. The volatile fingerprints of egg yolk and liver allowed the different animal groups to be clearly discriminated and volatile markers of HBCD exposure to be pointed out. The analysis of these markers could enable to reveal systematically suspect samples on market and to guide further analyses to confirm and possibly explain the contamination.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a planar quasi-lumped resonator element composed of a shorting via and a very short open-ended microstrip line, modelled as a capacitance.
Abstract: We propose the study of a planar quasi-lumped resonator element. It is composed of a shorting via, modelled as a parallel inductance and a very short open-ended microstrip line, modelled as a capacitance. We discuss the physical parameter influences of the resonator, which offer a path to control its radiation characteristic. A circuit model with closed-form expressions of the radiation resistance and the unloaded quality factor is presented. The discontinuity influences of the shorting via and the open-ended microstrip borders are discussed. The experimental and theoretical results verify the proposed circuit model. A radiation model based on the results of electromagnetic simulations has also been proposed.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed and validated a validation method for the reproducibility of the sterilization process, which is to exempt from the study of the repeatability of the EN 554 standard in future requalifications.
Abstract: Unlike EN 554, and since the publication of ISO 17665-1 standard, the user of autoclaves may use methods other than those indicated in the guidelines. Outsourcing the requalification of sterilizers by an external service provider and after observing from the previous requalification reports that the thermometric data seemed reproducible, we decided to propose and validate a validation method for the reproducibility of the sterilization process. This is to exempt from the study of the repeatability of the EN 554 standard in future requalifications. Reproducibility was studied with the sensors of the sterilization service and from the production cycles. This study was carried out in three parts. First, we checked whether our sensors were reliable. Then we evaluated the sterilization process fidelity of each sterilizer. Finally, we compared our measurements performed by the service sensors with the measurements performed by the service provider during the requalifications of the previous years. This work leads us to describe a new protocol of requalification of our sterilizers.
