TL;DR: This study presents an overview of the field of recommender systems with current generation of recommendation methods and examines comprehensively CF systems with its algorithms.
Abstract: Recommender Systems are software tools and techniques for suggesting items to users by considering their preferences in an automated fashion. The suggestions provided are aimed at support users in various decision- making processes. Technically, recommender system has their origins in different fields such as Information Retrieval (IR), text classification, machine learning and Decision Support Systems (DSS). Recommender systems are used to address the Information Overload (IO) problem by recommending potentially interesting or useful items to users. They have proven to be worthy tools for online users to deal with the IO and have become one of the most popular and powerful tools in E-commerce. Many existing recommender systems rely on the Collaborative Filtering (CF) and have been extensively used in E-commerce .They have proven to be very effective with powerful techniques in many famous E-commerce companies. This study presents an overview of the field of recommender systems with current generation of recommendation methods and examines comprehensively CF systems with its algorithms.

TL;DR: The role of processing conditions including final liquefaction temperature, residence times, rate of biomass heating, size of biomass particles, type of solvent media and hydrogen donor solvents is discussed in this paper.
Abstract: Hydrothermal liquefaction is a technique for obtaining clean biofuel from biomass in the presence of a solvent at moderate to high temperature (250–550 °C) and pressure (5–25 MPa). Hydrothermal decomposition of biomass leads to the formation of various compounds depending upon operating parameters. The role of processing conditions including final liquefaction temperature, residence times, rate of biomass heating, size of biomass particles, type of solvent media and hydrogen donor solvents is important for the bio-oil yield and quality of the product. The effect of these parameters on the yield and composition of the liquid products is reviewed in the paper. A brief description about the decomposition mechanism is also included to highlight the product types during hydrothermal liquefaction.

TL;DR: The IoT ecosystem is presented and how the combination of IoT and DA is enabling smart agriculture, and future trends and opportunities are provided which are categorized into technological innovations, application scenarios, business, and marketability.
Abstract: The surge in global population is compelling a shift toward smart agriculture practices. This coupled with the diminishing natural resources, limited availability of arable land, increase in unpredictable weather conditions makes food security a major concern for most countries. As a result, the use of Internet of Things (IoT) and data analytics (DA) are employed to enhance the operational efficiency and productivity in the agriculture sector. There is a paradigm shift from use of wireless sensor network (WSN) as a major driver of smart agriculture to the use of IoT and DA. The IoT integrates several existing technologies, such as WSN, radio frequency identification, cloud computing, middleware systems, and end-user applications. In this paper, several benefits and challenges of IoT have been identified. We present the IoT ecosystem and how the combination of IoT and DA is enabling smart agriculture. Furthermore, we provide future trends and opportunities which are categorized into technological innovations, application scenarios, business, and marketability.
