TL;DR: In this article, the relative production rate of B0s and B 0 mesons is determined with the hadronic decays B 0s→D−sπ+ and B0 → D − K +.
Abstract: The relative production rate of B0s and B 0 mesons is determined with the hadronic decays B0s→D−sπ+ and B 0 → D − K +. The measurement uses data corresponding to 1.0 fb−1 of pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of s√=7 TeV recorded in the forward region with the LHCb experiment. The ratio of production rates, f s /f d , is measured to be 0.238 ± 0.004 ± 0.015 ± 0.021, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic, and the third theoretical. This is combined with a previous LHCb measurement to obtain f s /f d = 0.256 ± 0.020. The dependence of f s /f d on the transverse momentum and pseudorapidity of the B meson is determined using the decays B0s→D−sπ+ and B 0 → D −π+. There is evidence for a decrease with increasing transverse momentum, whereas the ratio remains constant as a function of pseudorapidity. In addition, the ratio of branching fractions of the decays B 0 → D − K + and B 0 → D −π+ is measured to be 0.0822 ± 0.0011 (stat) ± 0.0025 (syst).

TL;DR: Interestingly, liposomes prevented the cytotoxicity of resveratrol at high concentrations, even at 100microM, avoiding its immediate and massive intracellular distribution, and increased the ability of res veratrol to stimulate the proliferation of the cells and their ability to survive under stress conditions caused by UV-B light.

TL;DR: It is shown how WIN 55,212-2 is able to elicit both rewarding and aversive effects depending on the concentration used, and Pretreatment of mice with the cannabinoid CB1 receptor antagonist SR 141716A completely prevented WIN55, 212-2 self-administration, indicating that WIN 55adays rewarding effects are specifically mediated by cannabinoids CB1 receptors.

TL;DR: The authors examined to what extent increased parent reports of autistic traits in some children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are the result of ADHD-related symptoms or qualitatively similar to the core characteristics of autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
Abstract: We examined to what extent increased parent reports of autistic traits in some children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are the result of ADHD-related symptoms or qualitatively similar to the core characteristics of autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Results confirm the presence of a subgroup of children with ADHD and elevated ratings of core ASD traits (ADHD+) not accounted for by ADHD or behavioral symptoms. Further, analyses revealed greater oppositional behaviors, but not greater ADHD severity or anxiety, in the ADHD+ subgroup compared to those with ADHD only. These results highlight the importance of specifically examining autistic traits in children with ADHD for better characterization in studies of the underlying physiopathology and treatment.

TL;DR: Clinical performance of Tg-FNAB appears to be not substantially affected by TgAb, and this procedure remains superior to cytology in the identification of DTC neck metastases, however, cytology should always be performed because Tg is undetectable in FNAB from undifferentiated metastases.
Abstract: Objective: Serum thyroglobulin (Tg) is the marker of differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC) after total thyroidectomy, but its value is limited by the interference of anti-Tg antibodies (TgAb). Detection of Tg in fine-needle aspiration biopsy (Tg-FNAB) washout fluid is used to identify neck DTC recurrences/metastases, but the interference of serum TgAb in this procedure is unknown. Patients and Methods: Seventy-three patients (41 after surgery for thyroid cancer and 32 with thyroid nodules) evaluated for suspicious cervical lymph nodes were retrospectively reviewed. Tg was assayed by immunoradiometric assay or chemiluminescent assay in ultrasound-guided FNAB used for cytology. Serum TgAb were detected by passive agglutination or chemiluminescent assay. On the basis of preliminary data obtained in lymphadenitis, Tg-FNAB more than 36 ng/ml and more than 1.7 ng/ml (in the presence or absence of thyroid gland, respectively) was considered as indicative of metastasis. Results: In 51 TgAb-negative patients, Tg-...
