The Plutarch’s Motive of "Descensus Animae" in "Nag Hammadi and the Corpus Hermeticum"

Abstract: Al evaluar los contactos de Plutarco con otras culturas contemporaneas, los investigadores todavia no han llegado a un consenso acerca de la relacion entre el queronense y la literatura cristiano-primitiva. Un buen ejemplo de esto aparece al atender al motivo de la creacion del alma humana. La intencion de las proximas paginas es, tras un analisis de los textos plutarqueos, atender a estos posibles contactos con NHC, los heresiologos y el Corpus Hermeticum a fin de dilucidar sus similitudes y diferencias.

Obra y proyectos del gran cantero Luis González Bailén

Abstract: A Luis Gonzalez Bailen nos lo presenta la historiografia como reputado cantero y figura clave en el triunfo y difusion de marmoles y jaspes en construcciones a gran escala. Sin embargo, solo tangenciales y escuetos aportes biograficos ayudan a trazar un catalogo de su participacion tanto en obra arquitectonica como en escultura monumental durante el primer tercio del siglo XVII. Contribuimos aqui a sistematizar sus participaciones como cantero, dar a conocer su propuesta de readaptacion del enterramiento familiar y las trazas del sepulcro del duque de Sessa y Baena y atribuirle determinadas realizaciones.

Landscapes and forest flora of al-Andalus: a reconstruction from textual historical documentation

Abstract: The translation and interpretation of works by Andalusi botanists and agronomists provide an increasingly sharp image of the species and forest landscapes in al-Andalus (Iberian area under Muslim rule in the Middle Ages). Regarding agriculture, it is known that domestication processes and the introduction of new species and singular forms of use were carried out, thus changing agricultural landscapes. Consequently, new life styles and consumption habits developed. A lot less is known about forestry management, especially when referring to forest landscapes and tree species in the Iberian Peninsula. The authors of this work have been studying agricultural and forest flora in al-Andalus for many years. In addition to numerous miscellaneous contributions, their first approximation on the trees and shrubs cultivated there was published in 2004, and the first volume of Flora Agricola y Forestal de Al-Andalus covering 80 species of monocotyledons appeared in 2012. In anticipation of the volume devoted to woody dicotyledons to be published in 2019 (including over 150 species, 100 genera and 50 families), a synthesis of the forest landscapes and the most unique species in the Arabic texts is presented in this work. Among the taxa identified are Iberian endemics such as Flueggea tinctoria and Corema album, rare taxa or highly localized ones like Rhododendron ponticum subsp. baeticum, Tetraclinis articulata and Zizyphus lotus with species of peculiar forestry interest such as Arctostaphylos uva-ursi, Taxus baccata, Buxus sempervirens, Ilex aquifolium, Laurus nobilis and Vitex agnus-castus , and archaeophytes like Celtis australis or Anagyris foetida.

Catálogo preliminar de plantas vasculares de la isla de Bioko (Guinea Ecuatorial)

Abstract: We present a list of taxa of vascular plants growing on Bioko (Equatorial Guinea). We are aware that there are still many unexplored areas,so it should be consider just as a first draft list. It is based on both herbarium specimens and on bibliographic references. The complete data, supportingeach record, can be consulted in our online database at http://www.floradeguinea.com/herbario/. To the moment, there are known 2029taxa from the island.

Parámetros cinéticos de transferencia de masa durante el freído por inmersión de rodajas de yuca (Manihot esculenta Crantz)

Abstract: Los cambios de humedad y absorcion de aceite ocurridos en el freido por inmersion de rodajas de yuca (Manihot esculenta Crantz) variedad ICA-costena fueron evaluados con el fin de determinar los parametros cineticos de absorcion de aceite y perdida de humedad. Rodajas de 3.5 cm de diametro y 1.3 mm de espesor fueron pretratadas asi: (i) escaldado a 80°C por 4 min; (ii) osmodeshidratacion en solucion salina (3%p/p) a 30°C por 4 horas y relacion 1:20 en peso. Las rodajas fueron procesadas en aceite de palma Caribe® a 140°C, 160°C y 180°C en una relacion de 0.005 kg muestra/L de aceite. El experimento fue conducido bajo un diseno en bloques completamente aleatorizado con arreglo factorial 32 (factores: temperatura y pre-tratamientos) con tres repeticiones. Los contenidos de humedad y aceite se determinaron aplicando los metodos AOAC 984.25/2002 y Soxhlet, respectivamente. La difusividad efectiva de humedad tuvo valores entre 10.44 x 10-9 y 148 x 10-9 m2/s. El coeficiente convectivo de transferencia de humedad tuvo valores entre 1.37x10-5 y 7.37 x10-5 m/s con un comportamiento lineal con respecto a la temperatura del aceite. El contenido de aceite absorbido en el equilibrio estuvo entre 0.1391 y 0.3607 g aceite/g solidos y las velocidades especificas entre 8.14 x 10-3 y 77.08 x 10-3 s-1. El escaldado y la osmodeshidratacion afectaron significativamente a la difusividad efectiva de transferencia de masa y el contenido de aceite en el equilibrio (p <0 .05).

Abstract: The present article analyzes the principal metonymic projections that participate in polysemy of some basic color terms in Spanish. The main aim is to find out what are the different roles of color as source domain and what are the target domains which it gives access to. Firstly, principal characteristics and key aspects of conceptual metonymy are presented. Next, the different metonymic projections which are responsible of semantic extension of color terms are described.

Abstract: En este trabajo se presentan las practicas que propone el area de Arquitectura y Tecnologia de Computadores en las dos asignaturas que impartimos en la titulacion de Ingenieria Tecnica Industrial especialidad en Electricidad, de la Universidad de Cordoba. Estas dos asignaturas son Tecnologia de Computadores, asignatura obligatoria de 2o curso, y Ampliacion de Sistemas Digitales y Microprocesadores, asignatura optativa de 3er curso. Toda la titulacion esta enmarcada en una experiencia piloto impartida mediante los creditos ECTS, y en ambas asignaturas se proponen practicas de simulacion como de laboratorio.

La controversia sobre la tributación de las mujeres recogidas en Filipinas a mediados del siglo XVIII. El caso del recogimiento de Santa Rita de Pásig

Abstract: This article studies the house of seclusion established for devout Indian and mestizo laywomen in the town of Pasig in 1740, and the dispute over tribute obligations that affected retreated or “pious” women. Founded outside of the Royal Patronato , this house of seclusion was extraordinarily attractive as a place for voluntary retreat and as an educational center. The dispute over tribute payments brought to light misgivings and conflicts of interest between the parties involved, while revealing the fundamental problem: the traditionally undefined juridical status of this type of establishment on the Islands. The solution given to the problem (tribute exemption) was to be extended to other similar centers in the Philippines. This article, realized with the use of unpublished documentation from the General Archives of the Indies, contributes therefore to our knowledge of the world of women in the Philippine archipelago; an ambit of great complexity that, as of yet, has been insufficiently studied.
