Abstract: One group of the experiments was carried out on cats using encephale isole preparations, a second group was performed on cats with chronically implanted electrodes. Cortical EEG, electromyogram, ocular movements and electrocardiogram were recorded simultaneously.

Abstract: El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar el mercado de trabajo de los musicos en la arquidiocesis de Guadalajara, desde la vision basada en los recursos y capacidades de la empresa. Se inicia con un cuestionamiento de lo que implica el ser musico en la sociedad mexicana. El metodo de investigacion empleado es la revision de literatura en el campo cultural y laboral. La principal conclusion es que la arquidiocesis de Guadalajara como empresa invierte en formar recursos humanos para el desempeno de la musica sagrada, asi el mercado de trabajo para los musicos presenta el comportamiento de un mercado interno de trabajo.

Abstract: Bei 3 Patienten mit einem Angiokeratoma corporis diffusum wurden dunnschicht-chromatographische Lipidanalysen aus Extrakten von RES (Lymphknoten und Rachentonsillen), subcutanem Fettgewebe und Harnsediment durchgefuhrt und mit den Ergebnissen bei stoffwechselgesunden Personen verglichen. Die Analysen erbrachten den Nachweis von erheblichen Mengen von Ceramidtrihexosiden. Ceramiddi- und -monohexoside wurden nicht gefunden; statt dessen liesen sich Spuren von Substanzen abtrennen, bei denen es sich mit groser Wahrscheinlichkeit um Globoside handelt. Die quantitative Bestimmung von Ceramidtrihexosiden erfolgte durch direkte Photometrie bei 460 nm. Sie ergab, das der Gehalt an Ceramidtrihexosiden in Lymphknoten und Fettgewebe beim Angiokeratoma corporis diffusum im Vergleich zum gesunden Gewebe mindestens 20mal so stark und im Harnsediment sogar um mehr als das 100fache erhoht ist.

Abstract: According to the sequence of reactions of the uronic acid pathway shown in the preceding chapter, two pentitol dehydrogenases (Fig. 1) linking L-and D-xylulose via xylitol are operative in this third pathway of carbohydrate metabolism in mammals, namely the NAD- and the NADP-specific xylitol dehydrogenase, systematically named xylitol: NAD oxidoreductase (D-xylulose-forming) (EC 1.1.1.9) and xylitol: NADP oxidoreductase (L-xylulose-forming) (EC 1.1.1.10), respectively. Mention has also been made already of the fact that pentosuric individuals, after administration of D-glucuronolactone-1-13C, excrete labeled L-arabitol in their urine [1]. This observation may be taken as suggestive evidence for the existence in mammals of a third pentitol oxidizing enzyme interconverting L-arabitol and L-xylulose. There is no indication whatever for the occurrence in mammals of an enzyme possibly linking D-arabitol to D-xylulose. Moreover, D-arabitol has been shown to be a very poor precursor of glycogen in rats guinea pigs [2]. Therefore, only the three systems mentioned above have to be discussed in the following sections.

Abstract: An Hand einer Familien-Zwillingsbeobachtung wird uber die Dyschondrosteose Leri-Weill berichtet. Die Veranderungen zeigen eine betrachtliche intra-familiare Variabilitat und haben zu Storungen im proximalen und distalen Radius- und Ulna- sowie Tibia- und Fibulabereich gefuhrt. Alle befallenen Familienmitglieder sind auserdem klein. Der Partner des Zwillings zeigte auser diesem Kleinwuchs lediglich eine Veranderung im Bereich der Handgelenke im Sinne einer Madelungschen Deformitat. Ein „Madelung“ kann demnach auch Ausdruck einer Systemerkrankung sein.
