TL;DR: The Hexanal concentration of muscle showed a similar trend to that observed for microsome induced-oxidation, suggesting, that hexanal determination is a more accurate method to measure lipid oxidation in iberian pig muscle than the thiobarbituric acid test.

TL;DR: In this paper, the arrangement of the main cardiac veins is reviewed to provide a morphologic background to interventionists, and variability in terms of valves, diameter, angulation, extent of muscular sleeves, proximity to other cardiac structures, and crossover spatial relationship with branches of coronary arteries have implications for practitioners seeking to make use of the system.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors explore the potential of farmer's knowledge as a source of information on the past and present cultural landscapes, focusing on the land-use system, the cultural heritage, and the farmer's perception of landscape changes, from the 1950s to the present day.

TL;DR: Moringa oleifera has been tested as an active agent in removing various types of anionic dyes as mentioned in this paper, and it achieves an average level of removal up to 80%.
Abstract: Moringa oleifera has been tested as an active agent in removing various types of anionic dyes. Specially, removal of an indigoid dye, Carmine Indigo, has been tested. The fast kinetics of coagulant action and the high potential of this coagulant agent to treat wastewater from dyestuff has been revealed. Moringa oleifera is fully working in coagulation and flocculation process, and it achieves an average level of removal up to 80%. The pH does not affect the coagulant process, and temperature has a negative influence. By increasing initial dye concentration, lower dye percentage removal is achieved and higher q is presented. Coagulation and flocculation processes can be estimated by the Langmuir and Freundlich models, but the first one gives a better explanation of the coagulation and adsorption behavior (r2 equal to 0.97). Carmine Indigo removal presents an optimum q capacity at 343 mg·L−1 and 11.2 °C. Pilot plant installation gives a similar efficiency for dye removal.

TL;DR: In this paper, different advanced treatments including coagulation (iron and alum), oxidation (chlorine, permanganate and ozone) and powdered activated carbon (PAC) adsorption were compared for their efficiencies in removing 11 selected micropollutants and effluent organic matter (EfOM) from municipal wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) generated in the filtration of secondary effluents.
