01 Feb 2019TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the exposure rates of background radiations in different locations of University of Fallujah, Iraq and found that the results were within the range of the effective dose rate 1mSv/year and not any found the effect of radioactive sources.
Abstract: In this work measured the exposure rates of background radiations in different locations of University of Fallujah, Iraq. Measurements the radiation exposure rate for the ionizing radiation (gamma rays, X-rays, Alpha and Beta particles) at the University of Fallujah and its colleges after the military operations in the period from 2013 to 2016. The scan was conducted by using the inspector XP for all colleges of the university. Our results were within the range allowed of the effective dose rate 1mSv/year and not any found the effect of radioactive sources.

01 Mar 2021TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of applied electric potential using electrospray process was investigated through the structural, morphological and optical analyses, which were examined using x-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, and photoluminescence techniques.
Abstract: In this study, fullerenes (C60) thin film was prepared via a novel combination of laser pulsed and electrospray methods using wasted batteries' electrodes as precursor. The effect of the applied electric potential using electrospray process was investigated through the structural, morphological and optical analyses. These in turn were examined using x-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, and photoluminescence techniques. In particular, using Williamson-Hall relation, the average crystallite size of the prepared nanoparticles was estimated in which it was found in the range of 41.46-111.84 nm. While sample treated with 5.6 kV of electric potential exhibited particle size of 6.35 nm using FESEM technique as compared to 7.4 nm for sample prepared under free potential. It is believed that the applied electric potential plays a vital role in reducing the particle size which in turn provides an alternative pathway for fabricating future optoelectronic design.

TL;DR: The findings are clearly showing that the RBF NN classifier is the best in prediction of the type of breast tumors since it had recorded the highest performance in terms of correct classification rate (accuracy), sensitivity, specificity, and AUC (area under Receiver Operating Characteristic ROC) among all other models.
Abstract: Currently, breast cancer is one of the most common cancers and a main reason of women death worldwide particularly in developing countries such as Iraq. our work aims to predict the type of tumor whether benign or malignant through models that were built using logistic regression and neural networks and we hope it will help doctors in detecting the type of breast tumor. Four models were set using binary logistic regression and two different types of artificial neural networks namely multilayer perceptron MLP and radial basis function RBF. Evaluation of validated and trained models was done using several performance metrics like accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and AUC (area under receiver operating characteristic ROC). Dataset was downloaded from UCI ml repository; it is composed of 9 attributes and 699 samples. The findings are clearly showing that the RBF NN classifier is the best in prediction of the type of breast tumors since it had recorded the highest performance in terms of correct classification rate (accuracy), sensitivity, specificity, and AUC (area under Receiver Operating Characteristic ROC) among all other models.

01 Jan 2020TL;DR: The meaning of Campus cloud computing and related services is illustrated and the adoption strategic plan of cloud computing that is consists of nine stages is defined and a practical harmony questionnaire among Iraqi universities is built.
Abstract: This paper tries to depict the role of cloud computing in the education sector mainly in higher education institutes (HEI). HEIs are swiftly taking the adoption of cloud generation to lessen the carrier value, provide extra productivity in the learning and administration system, offer higher responsiveness for statistics retriever, and assist in decision –making. Accordingly, this paper illustrates the meaning of Campus cloud computing (CCC) and related services and it defines the adoption strategic plan of cloud computing that is consists of nine stages. Likewise, this paper builds a practical harmony questionnaire among Iraqi universities. It focuses on the rate of using IT among the academic and university staff. The obtained result shows that more than 68% of university staff are impulsive to use internet family applications. However, they don't have enough knowledge about the term of cloud computing despite using it in their daily work. Finally, this study provides an Illustrative example and analytical analysis for the cloud adoption in HEI.

TL;DR: A series of novel derivatives of 7,7'-(1,4-phenylene) bis have been obtained by cycloaddition reaction of 2,3-pyrazinedicarboxylic anhydride with new derivatives of 1,3,4 oxadiazole bearing azomethine group which were prepared via cyclization reaction of some carbohydrazides with various benzoic acids in POCl3 as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: A series of novel derivatives of 7,7'-(1,4-phenylene) bis [(5-substitutedphenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)-amino (7,8-dihydropyrazino[2,3-e][1,3]oxazepine-5,9-dione)], 3a-d and 7,7'-(1,4-phenylene)bis[(5-substitutedphenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)-amino (7,8 dihydro-5H-pyrazino[2,3-e][1,3]diazepine-5,9(6H)-dione)], 4a-d have been prepared by the cycloaddition reaction of 2,3-pyrazinedicarboxylic anhydride (and/or 2,3-pyrazinedicarboximide) with new derivatives of 1,3,4 oxadiazole bearing azomethine group which were prepared via cyclization reaction of some carbohydrazides with various benzoic acids in POCl3. The structures of the desired compounds were in a coincidence as deduced from their FTIR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and mass spectra. Antimicrobial activities of titled compounds have been recorded with good to excellent results.
