TL;DR: In this article, a first order stationary iterative scheme for the solution of a linear system of equations is given and an algorithm for finding the optimum parameters is presented and a number of applications and examples is given.
Abstract: In this paper it is assumed that a first order stationary iterative scheme for the solution of a linear system of equations is given. It is also assumed that all the eigenvalues of the iteration matrix of the scheme are known and have real parts which are all either less or greater than one. Under the previous assumptions the solution of the optimization problem by means of an extrapolation scheme of the original one is studied, analyzed and found. Finally an algorithm for finding the optimum parameters is presented and a number of applications and examples is given.

TL;DR: The immunoperoxidase technique after trypsinization was used on paraffin sections of 24 lymph nodes with reactive lymphadenitis and abudant nests of T-associated plasma cells, and the present findings are against a B-cell or monohistiocytic origin for T- associated plasma cells.
Abstract: The immunoperoxidase technique after trypsinization was used on paraffin sections of 24 lymph nodes with reactive lymphadenitis and abudant nests of T-associated plasma cells. These cells were negative for all the markers investigated, which were: intracytoplasmic immunoglobulins (CIg), a1-antichymotrypsin(a1 -ACT), a1 -antitrypsin (a1 -AT), lysozyme(Lz) and fibronectin. Other categories of cells were positive or negative depending on their type. The best markers for polymorphs proved to be a1-AT and Lz, and for monocytes and histiocytes a1-ACT and Lz. Sinus histiocytes in particular were much more constantly and strongly positive for a1-ACT than for Lz. Endothelial cells appeared almost always positive for a1-ACT and were also occasionally positive for a1-AT. Fibronectin was consistently positive in mast cells and sometimes positive in other cells, especially those of monihistiocytic origin. Our present findings are against a B-cell or monohistiocytic origin for T-associated plasma cells.

Abstract: Magnetic properties of two samples of crocidolite (blue asbestos) have been examined using susceptibility and magnetization measurements, neutron diffraction, and Mossbauer spectroscopy Both samples order magnetically at 30±1 K with a structure in which iron ions in the ribbons parallel to c are all coupled ferromagnetically but the moments of adjacent ribbons are oppositely aligned The iron moments are oriented at angles of about 69°, 36°, 69° with the a, b, c axes, respectively A spin flop transition of the antiferromagnetically coupled ribbons occurs in an applied field of 15 kOe at 42 K, and a ratio of intraribbon to interribbon exchange interactions of about 10 is inferred Mossbauer spectra at 42 K are decomposed into a ferric pattern with a hyperfine field of 550 kOe, associated with M2 sites, and two ferrous patterns with hyperfine fields of 200 and 100 kOe, associated with M1 and M3 sites, respectively Each ferrous hyperfine field is oriented perpendicular to V zz , the principal component of the electric field gradient, which is negative for both sites: V zz =−265 mm/s, η=01 for M1 and V zz =−29 mm/s, η=03 for M3 As in sheet silicates, the field gradients suggest pseudo-trigonal distortions of the ferrous sites symmetry, which stabilize 5A1g orbital singlet states

TL;DR: In this article, the reactions of O-aminobenzylamine (o-aba=L) with the anhydrous metal halides CuX2, NiX 2, CoX2 (X=Cl or Br) and with NiCl2 · 6H2O are described.
Abstract: The reactions ofO-aminobenzylamine (o-aba=L) with the anhydrous metal halides CuX2, NiX2, CoX2 (X=Cl or Br) and with NiCl2 · 6H2O are described. The complexes isolated correspond to the general formulae: MLX2, ML2X2 and ML3X2 with M=Cu11, Ni11, Co11 and X=Cl or Br. They have been characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements and i.r., u.v.-vis. and e.s.r. spectra. The results show thato-aba acts as a bidentate bridging or chelating agent. A comparison of the ligating properties ofo-aba with those of the diamines.o-benzenediamine (o-bda),o-phenylenediamine (o-pda) an ethylenediamine (en), is attempted.

TL;DR: Only 11 out of 50 patients with primary Sjögren's syndrome were found to have minimal or moderate increases of C-reactive protein (CRP) levels, indicating one of the inflammatory disorders characterized by a relatively low CRP response.
Abstract: Only 11 out of 50 patients with primary Sjogren's syndrome were found to have minimal or moderate increases of C-reactive protein (CRP) levels. Patients with elevated CRP levels did not differ clinically from those with normal CRP levels. Thus, primary Sjogren's syndrome is one of the inflammatory disorders characterized by a relatively low CRP response.

TL;DR: This study leads to a monoparametric family of second order schemes of de Pillis' type and a method of selecting the optimal one is presented, which effectively shows the superiority of the optimal second order scheme over the fastest first order ones like the SOR and AOR schemes.
Abstract: This paper analyzes and studies the second order scheme of de Pillis' type, which is used for the solution of a linear system. This study leads to a monoparametric family of second order schemes of the aforementioned type and a method of selecting the optimal one is presented. In addition a number of concluding remarks is made and various applications and examples are given, which effectively show in some cases the superiority of our optimal second order scheme over the fastest first order ones like the SOR and AOR schemes. Many points are also made for the possibility of improving on the convergence rates of the optimal scheme of this paper, which suggest further research in this area.

TL;DR: In this paper, an analysis of the two-dimensional unsteady free convective flow and mass transfer is given, for an incompressible viscous fluid through a porous medium bounded by an infinite vertical limiting surface.
Abstract: In this work an analysis of the two-dimensional unsteady free convective flow and mass transfer is given, for an incompressible viscous fluid through a porous medium bounded by an infinite vertical limiting surface. The suction velocity perpendicular to the limiting surface is constant and the temperature of the limiting surface fluctuates with time about a non-zero constant mean. Expressions for the velocity, temperature and concentration fields are obtained and the effects of the various parameters of the problem, e.g. modified Grashoff number, permeability of the porous medium and the frequency on the velocity field are discussed.

TL;DR: In this paper, the two dimensional unsteady free convective flow through a porous medium bounded by an infinite vertical plate for an incompressible viscous and electrically conducting fluid is considered, when the flow is subjected to the action of a uniform transverse magnetic field.
Abstract: The two dimensional unsteady free convective flow through a porous medium bounded by an infinite vertical plate for an incompressible viscous and electrically conducting fluid is considered, when the flow is subjected to the action of a uniform transverse magnetic field. The magnetic Reynolds number is taken to be small, so that the induced magnetic field is negligible. Analytical expressions for the velocity field and temperature are given, and the influences of the various parametrs on the velocity field are discussed.
