TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated whether the trading volume reaction to an interim earnings announcement is associated with the information content of the announcement and the existence of pre-disclosure information asymmetry in the Finnish stock market.
Abstract: This study contains empirical findings regarding the effect of interim earnings announcements on investors' trading behavior. The aim of the paper is to empirically investigate whether the trading volume reaction to an interim earnings announcement is associated with the information content of the announcement and the existence of pre-disclosure information asymmetry in the Finnish stock market. The reason for using Finnish data is to establish whether findings from the US in respect of explaining volume inducement around an information event also hold in thin security markets. Pre-disclosure information asymmetry is proxied by the range in analysts' earnings forecasts. Information content is proxied by beta-adjusted returns and the divergence in reported EPS from analysts' mean EPS forecast. The data consist of 118 interim earnings announcements released by 21 firms traded on the Helsinki Stock Exchange (HSE) between 1992 and 1996. It was found that the trading volume reaction is positively associated with the information content of an announcement and also to some extent with the level of pre-disclosure information asymmetry. These results are in line with Kim and Verrecchia's theoretical trading volume proposition and with empirical findings in the US markets. Thus, previous findings produced in more developed stock markets with respect to volume generation around earnings announcements also seem to be applicable to thin markets. However, the significance levels are lower than in similar US studies and the association between positive and negative news is slightly asymmetric.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors assess the e-government as a complex of information processes and evaluate the requirements for good government and the new digital operating environment in the light of the modern constitutional state.
Abstract: The transformation of our society into a network society is proceeding at a startling pace. One often hears the term legal framework in this context, but few details of that framework are forthcoming. What this framework is or should be like has generally not been adequately discussed. If we are content to watch it take shape guided by directives formulated on varying bases and their equally varied implementations, there is serious risk that the legal order will become fragmented. A clear frame of reference can easily became chaos, which, will pose a threat to our basic rights. The point of departure in this article is the assessment of e-government as a complex of information processes. These are evaluated in the light of the requirements of the modern constitutional state. The aim is to determine the relationship between the requirements for good government and the new digital operating environment. Such an analysis is a rarity, although different countries have set out to develop electronic services in government on the strength of advances in information technology.

TL;DR: In this article, the theoretical and practical basis of teacherhood in art education is discussed from two points of view: what internal and externalfactors does teacherhood consist of? Through answering these questions, they aim at creating a model of the teacherhood framework of art education.
Abstract: In Finland, art teachers are currently trained at the Aalto University, Helsinki, and at the University of Lapland,Rovaniemi. This review is based on research on and other literature discussing art education. In addition, experiencesof art teacher education program provided at the University of Lapland provided the basis of our analysis of theessence of teacherhood in art education. Our purpose in this article is to review the theoretical and practical basis ofteacherhood in art education. We will discuss the phenomenon from two points of view: What internal and externalfactors does teacherhood in art education theoretically and practically consist of? Through answering these questionswe aim at creating a model of the framework of teacherhood in art education that can help the study anddevelopment of art education and art education teachers’ training.
