TL;DR: Graphically and numerically, it was noted that normalization tended to modify the continuous relative phase curve configuration, which tended to neglect the nonlinear forces acting on the system since it did not maintain the aspect ratio of the phase plot.

TL;DR: The authors examined the dynamics of deviations from covered interest parity using daily data on the UK/US spot, forward exchange rates and interest rates over the period January 1974 to September 1993, and found that while the impulse response functions when inside the transaction costs band are nearly symmetric, those for the outside the bands are asymmetric.
Abstract: This paper examines the dynamics of deviations from covered interest parity using daily data on the UK/US spot, forward exchange rates and interest rates over the period January 1974 to September 1993. Like other studies we find a substantial number of instances during the sample in which the covered interest parity condition exceeds the transaction costs band, implying arbitrage profit opportunities. While most of these implied profit opportunities are relatively small, there is also evidence of some very large deviations from covered interest parity in the sample. In order to examine the persistence of these deviations, we estimated a threshold autoregression in which the dynamics behavior of deviations from covered interest parity is different outside the transaction costs band than inside them. We find that while the impulse response functions when inside the transaction costs band are nearly symmetric, those for the outside the bands are asymmetric-suggesting less persistence outside of the transaction costs band than inside the band.

TL;DR: This paper found that team cognitive processes can also influence, be influenced by, and interact with team social processes, which can mediate or moderate the relationship between team composition and team creativity and innovation.
Abstract: Publisher Summary Empirical work on the effect of team cognition on team creativity and innovation is particularly sparse. While research on individual cognitive processes that lead to creativity and innovation is much more prevalent, interest in team cognition is more recent. Several important themes emerge from the research reported here. First, much of the work on team cognitive processes is focused on social cognition. Second, the various dimensions of team cognitive processes are interrelated. Third, while no research directly assessed the role of time on these cognitive processes, time may play an important part. The cognitive processes associated with creative problem solving, such as problem construction, idea generation, and idea evaluation and selection, can be viewed as occurring in a natural progression. Fourth, team cognitive processes can also influence, be influenced by, and interact with team social processes. Finally, team cognitive processes can mediate or moderate the relationship between team composition and team creativity and innovation.

TL;DR: Studies designed to test the specificity of the reaction for FSH in this cell type are described, and the relationship between the Type III gonadotroph and the cell containing ACTH is described.
Abstract: STUDIES by Siperstein et al.1,2 first described the cytology of the adrenocorticotropin (ACTH) cell in the rat adenohypophysis. This cell is stellate and contains peripherally organised granules averaging 220 µm in diameter. Their cytological work was confirmed in later immunocyto-chemical studies in our laboratory3–5, in which ACTH was localised in the secretory granules of cells of this type. In our recent immunocytochemical studies of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) cells, however, FSH was found in a cell which resembled the ACTH cell. We termed this cell the Type III gonadotroph6,7. Here we describe studies designed to test the specificity of the reaction for FSH in this cell type, and the relationship between the Type III gonadotroph and the cell containing ACTH.
