TL;DR: A fully polynomial-time approximation scheme for the maximum concurrent flow problem is developed and the problem of associating costs to the edges so as to maximize the minimum-cost of routing the concurrent flow is the dual of the MCFP.
Abstract: The maximum concurrent flow problem (MCFP) is a multicommodity flow problem in which every pair of entities can send and receive flow concurrently The ratio of the flow supplied between a pair of entities to the predefined demand for that pair is called throughput and must be the same for all pairs of entities for a concurrent flow The MCFP objective is to maximize the throughput, subject to the capacity constraints We develop a fully polynomial-time approximation scheme for the MCFP for the case of arbitrary demands and uniform capacity Computational results are presented It is shown that the problem of associating costs (distances) to the edges so as to maximize the minimum-cost of routing the concurrent flow is the dual of the MCFP A path-cut type duality theorem to expose the combinatorial structure of the MCFP is also derived Our duality theorems are proved constructively for arbitrary demands and uniform capacity using the algorithm Applications include packet-switched networks [1, 4, 8], and cluster analysis [16]

TL;DR: Findings reveal significant differences in the reasons that these firms decided to adopt Web technology depending on when the firm made the adoption decision; early adopters placed more emphasis on perceived benefits and compatibility of the Web with existing technology and organizational norms than did later adopters.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the need for IS assessment and suggested a comprehensive IS assessment framework linked to organizational performance using existing IS assessment theory as a base and incorporating measurement concepts from other disciplines.
Abstract: Information Systems IS managers are under increasing pressure to justify the value and contribution of IS expenditures to the productivity, quality, and competitiveness of the organization. This paper examines the need for IS assessment and suggests a comprehensive IS assessment framework linked to organizational performance using existing IS assessment theory as a base and incorporating measurement concepts from other disciplines. The existing models of IS success are updated to include the emerging IS success dimensions of service quality and work group impact and provide a comprehensive method for organizing the various measures of IS success. In addition, many new measures from recent research are presented to supplement the lists supplied by previous research. Additional research is suggested to advance the IS assessment contingency theory. Such a theory has the potential to contribute to the quality and productivity of the IS function and the larger organization by providing feedback to manage and improve the IS function to better meet the needs of the organization.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the kinetics of isotope exchange between aqueous ferrous and ferric species measured over a range of chloride concentrations (0, 11, 110 mM Cl−) and at two temperatures (0 and 22°C) indicate that Fe isotope fractionation is a function of temperature but independent of chloride contents over the range studied.

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of technology integration education on teachers' and students' attitudes toward information technology was analyzed and two instruments measuring similar attributes were used to assess teachers and students attitudes.
Abstract: This study analyzed the effect of technology integration education on teachers' and students' attitudes toward information technology. Two instruments measuring similar attributes were used to assess teachers' and students' attitudes. Differences in pre- and post-test scores were used to determine changes that occurred during the course of the study.
