TL;DR: A two-stage joint hovering altitude and power control solution for the resource allocation problem in UAV networks considering the inevitable cross-tier interference from space-air-ground heterogeneous networks is proposed.
Abstract: Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been widely used in both military and civilian applications. Equipped with diverse communication payloads, UAVs cooperating with satellites and base stations constitute a space-air-ground three-tier heterogeneous network, which are beneficial in terms of both providing the seamless coverage as well as of improving the capacity for increasingly prosperous Internet of Things networks. However, cross-tier interference may be inevitable among these tightly embraced heterogeneous networks when sharing the same spectrum. The power association problem in satellite, UAV and macrocell three-tier networks becomes a critical issue. In this paper, we propose a two-stage joint hovering altitude and power control solution for the resource allocation problem in UAV networks considering the inevitable cross-tier interference from space-air-ground heterogeneous networks. Furthermore, Lagrange dual decomposition and concave-convex procedure method are used to solve this problem, followed by a low-complexity greedy search algorithm. Finally, simulation results show the effectiveness of our proposed two-stage joint optimization algorithm in terms of UAV network’s total throughput.

TL;DR: The photoluminescence (PL) and X-ray excited luminescence(XL) spectra obtained at room temperature indicate broad asymmetric bands with maxima near 519 and 540 nm for Y2.01Al5O12 and Lu2.99Ce0.01Y0.
Abstract: The Lu2.98Ce0.01Y0.01Al5O12 and Y2.99Ce0.01Al5O12 phosphors were synthesized by solid state reaction at temperature 1623 K and pressure 1.5 × 107 Pa in (95% N2 + 5% H2) atmosphere. Under the conditions, the compounds crystallize in the form of isolated euhedral partly faceted microcrystals ∼19 μm in size. The crystal structures of the Lu2.98Ce0.01Y0.01Al5O12 and Y2.99Ce0.01Al5O12 garnets have been obtained by Rietveld analysis. The photoluminescence (PL) and X-ray excited luminescence (XL) spectra obtained at room temperature indicate broad asymmetric bands with maxima near 519 and 540 nm for Y2.99Ce0.01Al5O12 and Lu2.98Ce0.01Y0.01Al5O12, respectively. The light source was fabricated using the powder Lu2.98Ce0.01Y0.01Al5O12 phosphor and commercial blue-emitting n-UV LED chips (λex = 450 nm). It is found that the CIE chromaticity coordinates are (x = 0.388, y = 0.563) with the warm white light emission correlated color temperature (CCT) of 6400 K and good luminous efficiency of 110 lm/W.

TL;DR: In this paper, the design and development of ductile and strong refractory single-phase high-entropy alloys (HEAs) for high temperature applications, based on NbTaV with addition of Ti and W, were reported.
Abstract: This study reports the design and development of ductile and strong refractory single-phase high-entropy alloys (HEAs) for high temperature applications, based on NbTaV with addition of Ti and W. Assisted by CALPHAD modeling, a single body-centered cubic solid solution phase was experimentally confirmed in the as-cast ingots using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The observed elemental segregation in each alloy qualitatively agrees with CALPHAD prediction. The Vickers microhardnesses (and yield strengths) of the alloys are about 3 (and 3.5–4.4) times that those estimated from the rule of mixture. While NbTaTiVW shows an impressive yield strength of 1420 MPa with fracture strain of 20%, NbTaTiV exhibits exceptional compressive ductility at room temperature.

TL;DR: It is proved that there is no Zeno behavior under the fixed-time event-triggered consensus control strategies and the availability of the control algorithms is verified by numerical simulations.
Abstract: In this paper, we study the fixed-time event-triggered consensus problem of the uncertain nonlinear multiagent systems. Two fixed-time event-triggered consensus controllers are proposed. In contrast to finite-time results, the convergence time of fixed-time results is independent of initial conditions. Furthermore, continuous communications can be avoided both in the update of controllers and in the triggering condition monitoring. It is proved that there is no Zeno behavior under the fixed-time event-triggered consensus control strategies. The availability of the control algorithms is verified by numerical simulations.
