TL;DR: A new and efficient method capable of forecasting 1-h ahead solar radiation during cloudy days is described, which combines an autoregressive (AR) model with a dynamical system model and improves the forecasting accuracy by 30% compared to models without this correction.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the effects of evaluation apprehension and perceived benefit of knowledge sharing on employees' knowledge sharing intentions in two contexts: interpersonal (i.e., by direct contact between two employees) and database (e.g., via repositories).
Abstract: Knowledge sharing is an essential component of effective knowledge management. However, evaluation apprehension, or the fear that your work may be critiqued, can inhibit knowledge sharing. Using the general framework of social exchange theory, we examined the effects of evaluation apprehension and perceived benefit of knowledge sharing (such as enhanced reputation) on employees' knowledge sharing intentions in two contexts: interpersonal (i.e., by direct contact between two employees) and database (i.e., via repositories). Evaluation apprehension was negatively associated with knowledge sharing intentions in both contexts while perceived benefit was only positively associated with knowledge sharing intentions in the database context. Moreover, compared to the interpersonal context, evaluation apprehension was higher and knowledge sharing lower in the database context. Finally, the negative effects of evaluation apprehension upon knowledge sharing intentions were worse when perceived benefits were low comp...

TL;DR: In this article, the use of low-cost and environmentally safe inorganic and organic amendments for the in-situ immobilization of heavy metal (loid) has become increasingly popular.
Abstract: Today, soil metal pollution has become a significant environmental issue of great public concern. This is because soil is both a major sink for heavy metal(loid)s (HMs) released into the environment, by both pedogenic and anthropogenic activities; and also a major source of food chain contamination mainly through plant uptake and animal transfer. In addition, HM contamination of soil leads to negative impacts on soil characteristics and function by disturbing both soil biological and physiochemical properties (e.g. extreme soil pH, poor soil structure and soil fertility and lack of soil microbial activity). This eventually leads to decreased crop production. Various soil remediation techniques have been successfully employed to reduce the risks associated with HMs efflux into soil. Among these, the use of low-cost and environmentally safe inorganic and organic amendments for the in-situ immobilization of HMs has become increasingly popular. Immobilization agents have successfully reduced the avail...
