TL;DR: In order to prevent the expert judgments of the parameters weight that occurs when the Water Quality Index (WQI) method is used, the entropy method was used as mentioned in this paper, and its results have been compared with the spatial autocorrelation of effective parameters of water quality.
Abstract: Groundwater quality for drinking purposes has been evaluated for 21 groundwater samples from the Azarshahr Plain in Iran using entropy theory, and its results have been compared with the spatial autocorrelation of effective parameters of water quality. In order to prevent the expert judgments of the parameters weight that occurs when the Water Quality Index (WQI) method is used, the entropy method was used. Entropy and its weight were calculated, and parameters spatial autocorrelation was then determined. The spatial autocorrelation assessment confirmed the entropy theory results. The maximum spatial autocorrelation, minimum entropy and therefore the highest effectiveness rate on groundwater quality of Azarshahr Plain were found to be associated with bicarbonate. Using the entropy weighted WQI, the groundwater quality was classified into five categories: excellent, good, moderate, poor and extremely poor. According to the entropy weighted WQI, the groundwater quality of study area can be classified into “good” to “poor” domains.

TL;DR: In this paper, a two-parameter equation and the NRTL model were used for the correlation of the obtained tie-line data with both models, and the effective excluded volume values obtained from the binodal model for these two systems and other aqueous PEG 6000 salt systems were determined; and the relation between these values and salting-out ability of different salts were discussed.
Abstract: Liquid–liquid equilibria were determined for the PEG 6000 –sodium succinate–H 2 O, and PEG 6000 –sodium formate–H 2 O systems at 298.15 K. Furthermore, the binodal model was used for reproducing the experimental binodal data. The effective excluded volume values obtained from the binodal model for these two systems and other aqueous PEG 6000 –salt systems were determined; and the relation between these values and salting-out ability of different salts were discussed. Finally, a two-parameter equation and the NRTL model were used for the correlation of the obtained tie-line data. Good agreement was obtained with the experimental tie-line data with both models.

TL;DR: It is suggested that among a sample of adults, PA is directly and indirectly associated with SE, PPF, and BI, but not with BMI, and regular PA should be promoted, in particular, among adults reporting lower SE.
Abstract: In the present study, we investigated the relationship between physical activity (PA) and self-esteem (SE), while introducing body mass index (BMI), perceived physical fitness (PPF), and body image (BI) in adults (N =264, M =38.10 years). The findings indicated that PA was directly and indirectly associated with SE. BMI predicted SE neither directly nor indirectly, but was directly associated with PPF and both directly and indirectly with BI. Furthermore, PPF was directly related to BI and SE, and a direct association was found between BI and SE. The pattern of results suggests that among a sample of adults, PA is directly and indirectly associated with SE, PPF, and BI, but not with BMI. PA, PPF, and BI appear to play an important role in SE. Accordingly, regular PA should be promoted, in particular, among adults reporting lower SE.
