TL;DR: UV–Vis spectroscopy studies showed that ZnO/polyaniline nanocomposite absorbs visible light irradiation as well as ultraviolet spectrum, and therefore, it can be photoactivated under visible and ultraviolet lights.
Abstract: Purpose and method ZnO/polyaniline nanocomposite in core–shell structure was prepared by the synthesis and adsorption of polyaniline chains on the structure of ZnO nanoparticles. Fourier transform infrared and ultraviolet–visible (UV–Vis) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction patterns, field emission scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy were used to characterize the composition and structure of the nanocomposite. The nanocomposite was used as an active photocatalyst for photodegradation and removal of ampicillin in aqueous solution.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the exergy analysis of HCCI combustion when a blended fuel, which consists of n-heptane and natural gas, is used, and found that introducing EGR into the intake charge of a dual fuel engine up to some stage (optimum value) enhances the second-law performance of the engine in spite of a reduction in work.

TL;DR: Precipitation data suggest that long-term reductions in rainfall promoted lower soil moisture and vegetative cover, leading to more intense dust emissions, and the impact of synoptic systems on dust emissions and transport in the study region is shown.

TL;DR: The purpose of this review is to provide a summary of current knowledge regarding the important and types of isolated stem cells from different sources of animal models such as horse, pig, goat, dog, rabbit, cat, rat, mice etc.
Abstract: Recent developments in the stem cell biology provided new hopes in treatment of diseases and disorders that yet cannot be treated. Stem cells have the potential to differentiate into various cell types in the body during age. These provide new cells for the body as it grows, and replace specialized cells that are damaged. Since mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) can be easily harvested from the adipose tissue and can also be cultured and expanded in vitro they have become a good target for tissue regeneration. These cells have been widespread used for cell transplantation in animals and also for clinical trials in humans. The purpose of this review is to provide a summary of our current knowledge regarding the important and types of isolated stem cells from different sources of animal models such as horse, pig, goat, dog, rabbit, cat, rat, mice etc. In this regard, due to the widespread use and lot of attention of MSCs, in this review, we will elaborate on use of MSCs in veterinary medicine as well as in regenerative medicine. Based on the studies in this field, MSCs found wide application in treatment of diseases, such as heart failure, wound healing, tooth regeneration etc.

TL;DR: In this article, the preparation and electrochemical characterization of glassy carbon electrodes modified by some recently synthesized anthraquinone substituted podands were investigated, and the ability of the modified electrodes as potential electrocatalysts for the reduction of dioxygen to hydrogen peroxide was tested.
Abstract: The preparation and electrochemical characterization of glassy carbon electrodes modified by some recently synthesized anthraquinone substituted podands were investigated. These compounds were found to be strongly and irreversibly adsorbed on the preanodized glassy carbon electrodes. The electrochemical behavior and stability of the modified electrodes were studied by cyclic voltammetry in acidic aqueous solutions. The influence of pH on the electrochemical behavior of the electrodes was studied and a pH of 4.5 was chosen as the optimum working pH. The ability of the modified electrodes as potential electrocatalysts for the reduction of dioxygen to hydrogen peroxide was tested by cyclic voltammetry, chronomperometry and rotating disk electrode voltammetry. They showed excellent electrocatalytic ability for the reduction of O2at pH 4.5 with overpotentials ranging from 380 to 470 mV lower than the plain glassy carbon electrode. The heterogeneous rate constants for the reduction of O2 at the surface of these modified electrodes were determined by the use of Koutecky-Levich plots. In addition, the apparent diffusion coefficients of O2 in buffered aqueous O2-saturated solution was estimated.
