TL;DR: In this article, a search for supersymmetry involving the pair production of gluinos decaying via third-generation squarks into the lightest neutralino ((chi) over tilde (0)(1)) is reported.
Abstract: A search for supersymmetry involving the pair production of gluinos decaying via third-generation squarks into the lightest neutralino ((chi) over tilde (0)(1)) is reported. It uses LHC proton-prot ...

TL;DR: GNUnet's Anonymity Protocol, Freedom, Hordes, Crowds, Onion Routing, Platform for Privacy Preferences, TRUSTe, Lucent Personalized Web Assistant, and Anonymizer have been reviewed and compared and it is highlighted that the pros and cons of each system do not coincide.
Abstract: This paper presents a state‐of‐the‐art review of the Web privacy and anonymity enhancing security mechanisms, tools, applications and services, with respect to their architecture, operational principles and vulnerabilities. Furthermore, to facilitate a detailed comparative analysis, the appropriate parameters have been selected and grouped in classes of comparison criteria, in the form of an integrated comparison framework. The main concern during the design of this framework was to cover the confronted security threats, applied technological issues and users' demands satisfaction. GNUnet's Anonymity Protocol (GAP), Freedom, Hordes, Crowds, Onion Routing, Platform for Privacy Preferences (P3P), TRUSTe, Lucent Personalized Web Assistant (LPWA), and Anonymizer have been reviewed and compared. The comparative review has clearly highlighted that the pros and cons of each system do not coincide, mainly due to the fact that each one exhibits different design goals and thus adopts dissimilar techniques for protecting privacy and anonymity.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors considered the large deviation probability ψ(u)∼c 3 uP(Y 1 > u)μ -1 (κ - 1) -1 for some constant c 3 > 0.
Abstract: In this paper we consider the stochastic recurrence equation Y t = A t Y t-1 + B t for an i.i.d. sequence of pairs (A t , B t ) of nonnegative random variables, where we assume that B t is regularly varying with index K > 0 and EA k t x) ∼ c 1 nP(Y 1 > x) as x → ∞ holds for some constant c 1 > 0. For K > 1, we also study the large deviation probabilities P(S n - ES n > x). x ≥ x n , for some sequence x n → ∞ whose growth depends on the heaviness of the tail of the distribution of Y 1 . We show that the relation P(S n - ES n > x) ∼ c 2 nP(Y 1 > x) holds uniformly for x ≥ x n and some constant c 2 > 0. Then we apply the large deviation results to derive bounds for the ruin probability ψ(u) = P(sup n≥1 ((S n - ES n ) -μn) > u) for any μ > 0. We show that ψ(u)∼c 3 uP(Y 1 > u)μ -1 (κ - 1) -1 for some constant c 3 > 0. In contrast to the case of i.i.d. regularly varying Y t 's, when the above results hold with c 1 = c 2 = c 3 = 1, the constants c 1 , c 2 and c 3 are different from 1.

TL;DR: An educational value generation model is developed and validated, using primary data collected from 305 UK-based students, and it is shown that experience generation has a strong impact on conceptual understanding, and both of them have medium to high direct impacts on skills development.
