TL;DR: Several indices are available in the literature to assess the structural quality of cast Al alloys, especially Al-7 pct Si-Mg alloys that are based on tensile test results as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: Several indices are available in the literature to assess the structural quality of cast Al alloys, especially Al-7 pct Si-Mg alloys that are based on tensile test results. Some of these indices, most notably the one developed by Drouzy et al., provide a number that necessarily does not have a physical meaning, whereas the others are a measure of what fraction of the expected tensile performance is achieved. These indices are analyzed in depth, their similarities and shortcomings are discussed in detail, and recommendations are made.

TL;DR: The basic sources of security‐related knowledge have been identified and a model of IS security knowledge has been created, and the basis for the development of specialized security KM systems has been set.
Abstract: – Information systems security management is a knowledge‐intensive activity that currently depends heavily on the experience of security experts. However, the knowledge dimension of IS security management has been neglected, both by research and industry. This paper aims to explore the sources of IS security knowledge and the potential role of an IS security knowledge management system., – The results of this paper are based on field research involving five organizations (public and private) and five security experts and consultants. A model to illustrate the structure of IS security knowledge in an organization is then proposed., – Successful security management largely depends on the involvement of users and other stakeholders in security analysis, design, and implementation, as well as in actively defending the IS. However, most stakeholders lack the required knowledge of IS security issues that would allow them to play an important role in IS security management., – In this paper, the knowledge management aspect of IS security management has been highlighted. Moreover, the basic sources of security‐related knowledge have been identified and a model of IS security knowledge has been created. Also, the activities to be supported by a security‐focused KM system have been identified. Thus, the basis for the development of specialized security KM systems has been set.

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of social capital on the tendency of European citizens to contribute money for the environment using data from EVS 1999/2000 was investigated and the relation between individual social capital and willingness to pay (WTP) was examined.
Abstract: Social capital has been recognized as one of the most influential concepts in social and political sciences. It is assumed that it has significant influence on several issues such as health status, educational achievement and environmental attitudes. In the present article we attempt to investigate the influence of social capital on the tendency of European citizens to contribute money for the environment using data from EVS 1999/2000. Firstly, an estimation of individual social capital is calculated for European citizens with the use of Confirmatory Factor Analysis. Secondly, the relation between individual social capital and willingness to pay (WTP) is examined. Thirdly, further evidence is provided by introducing in the analysis the influence of other factors such as income, age, gender and educational level. In addition, the influence of contextual factors on WTP is explored. Through the results of the study it is observed that most European citizens are willing to pay for the environment and...
