Abstract: This study developed an integrated model to explore the antecedents and consequences of online word-of-mouth in the context of music-related communication Based on survey data from college students, online word-of-mouth was measured with two components: online opinion leadership and online opinion seeking The results identified innovativeness, Internet usage, and Internet social connection as significant predictors of online word-of-mouth, and online forwarding and online chatting as behavioral consequences of online word-of-mouth Contrary to the original hypothesis, music involvement was found not to be significantly related to online word-of-mouth Theoretical implications of the findings and future research directions are discussed

TL;DR: In this article, the authors explore and compare the extent of intellectual capital and its four components among ASEAN countries, and examine the relationship between firms' IC, market value, and financial performance.
Abstract: Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to explore and compare the extent of intellectual capital (IC) and its four components among ASEAN countries, and examine the relationship between firms’ IC, market value, and financial performance. Design/methodology/approach – The study uses the data of 213 technology firms listed on five ASEAN stock exchanges. Pulic’s Value Added Intellectual Coefficient model is modified by adding an extra component, namely, relational capital efficiency (RCE). The Kruskal-Wallis one-way ANOVA and multiple regression analysis have been utilized to test the hypotheses. Findings – The results reveal that there is no significant difference in Modified Value Added Intellectual Coefficient (MVAIC) across five ASEAN countries; however, firms in each country tend to place a different degree of emphasis on components of MVAIC to generate corporate value. The results further indicate a positive relationship between IC and market value, confirming that firms with greater IC tend to have gr...

TL;DR: The Destination Emotion Scale (DES) as mentioned in this paper is an extension of Hosany and Gilbert's original research on the development of a scale measuring the diversity and intensity of tourists' emotional experiences toward destinations: the DES consists of 15 items, representing three emotional dimensions: joy, love and positive surprise.
Abstract: This study is an extension of Hosany and Gilbert’s original research on the development of a scale measuring the diversity and intensity of tourists’ emotional experiences toward destinations: the Destination Emotion Scale (DES). The DES consists of 15 items, representing three emotional dimensions: joy, love, and positive surprise. Although the DES displays solid psychometric properties, additional evidence is required of the scale’s validity. Using data collected from international tourists visiting two distinct destinations, Petra (Jordan) and Thailand, this study further examines the scale’s construct validity. Adopting state-of-the-art procedures guiding scale validation, results confirm the unidimensionality, reliability, convergent, discriminant, and nomological validity of the DES. In particular, discriminant validity tests show that emotions and place attachment are related but distinct constructs. The DES provides a useful tool for marketers and researchers to measure tourists’ emotional respons...
