TL;DR: This annotated reference sequence of wheat is a resource that can now drive disruptive innovation in wheat improvement, as this community resource establishes the foundation for accelerating wheat research and application through improved understanding of wheat biology and genomics-assisted breeding.
Abstract: An annotated reference sequence representing the hexaploid bread wheat genome in 21 pseudomolecules has been analyzed to identify the distribution and genomic context of coding and noncoding elements across the A, B, and D subgenomes. With an estimated coverage of 94% of the genome and containing 107,891 high-confidence gene models, this assembly enabled the discovery of tissue- and developmental stage-related coexpression networks by providing a transcriptome atlas representing major stages of wheat development. Dynamics of complex gene families involved in environmental adaptation and end-use quality were revealed at subgenome resolution and contextualized to known agronomic single-gene or quantitative trait loci. This community resource establishes the foundation for accelerating wheat research and application through improved understanding of wheat biology and genomics-assisted breeding.

TL;DR: The main capabilities of cp2k are summarized, and with recent applications the science cp2K has enabled in the field of atomistic simulation are illustrated.
Abstract: cp2k has become a versatile open-source tool for the simulation of complex systems on the nanometer scale. It allows for sampling and exploring potential energy surfaces that can be computed using a variety of empirical and first principles models. Excellent performance for electronic structure calculations is achieved using novel algorithms implemented for modern and massively parallel hardware. This review briefly summarizes the main capabilities and illustrates with recent applications the science cp2k has enabled in the field of atomistic simulation.

TL;DR: Sherpa as mentioned in this paper is a general-purpose tool for the simulation of particle collisions at high-energy colliders and contains a very flexible tree-level matrix-element generator for the calculation of hard scattering processes within the Standard Model and various new physics models.
Abstract: In this paper the current release of the Monte Carlo event generator Sherpa, version 1.1, is presented. Sherpa is a general-purpose tool for the simulation of particle collisions at high-energy colliders. It contains a very flexible tree-level matrix-element generator for the calculation of hard scattering processes within the Standard Model and various new physics models. The emission of additional QCD partons off the initial and final states is described through a parton-shower model. To consistently combine multi-parton matrix elements with the QCD parton cascades the approach of Catani, Krauss, Kuhn and Webber is employed. A simple model of multiple interactions is used to account for underlying events in hadron-hadron collisions. The fragmentation of partons into primary hadrons is described using a phenomenological cluster-hadronisation model. A comprehensive library for simulating tau-lepton and hadron decays is provided. Where available form-factor models and matrix elements are used, allowing for the inclusion of spin correlations; effects of virtual and real QED corrections are included using the approach of Yennie, Frautschi and Suura.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors develop and estimate a conceptual model of how different aspects of customers' relationships with the brand community influence their intentions and behaviors, and test their hypotheses by estimating a structural equation model with survey data.
Abstract: The authors develop and estimate a conceptual model of how different aspects of customers' relationships with the brand community influence their intentions and behaviors. The authors describe how identification with the brand community leads to positive consequences, such as greater community engagement, and negative consequences, such as normative community pressure and (ultimately) reactance. They examine the moderating effects of customers' brand knowledge and the brand community's size and test their hypotheses by estimating a structural equation model with survey data from a sample of European car club members.

TL;DR: These experiments show that PrPC, possibly at close to normal levels, is required for the usual susceptibility to scrapie and that lack of homology between incoming prions and the host's PrP genes retards disease.
