15 Dec 1975TL;DR: In this paper, the multiplet spectral structure produced by coupled gyromagnetic resonators, such as heteronuclear coupling, is resolved by inducing a train of transient free induction decay (FID) resonances.
Abstract: The multiplet spectral structure produced by coupled gyromagnetic resonators, such as heteronuclear coupling, is resolved by inducing a train of transient free induction decay (FID) resonances of a first group of gyromagnetic bodies, such as carbon-13 nuclei coupled to a second group of gyromagnetic bodies, such as protons, and detecting the FID resonance. A decoupling r.f. magnetic field is applied to the second group during free induction decay resonance of the first group for decoupling the spins of the first and second groups during detection of resonance of the first group. The duration of the decoupling effect is changed from one successive free induction decay resonance to the next and the detected resonance data is stored as a function of the change in the decoupling effect. The detected resonance data which is a function of two time intervals is then double Fourier transformed into the frequency domain and displayed as a two dimensional plot for resolving the multiplet structure of the spectra of the first group of gyromagnetic bodies.

02 Oct 1969TL;DR: A beam collector for an electron beam tube includes a hollow metallic beam collector surrounded by a metallic sheath forming a portion of the vacuum envelope of the tube as mentioned in this paper, and an electrical insulator structure is disposed in the annular space intermediate the beam collector and the surrounding sheath.
Abstract: A beam collector for an electron beam tube includes a hollow metallic beam collector surrounded by a metallic sheath forming a portion of the vacuum envelope of the tube. An electrical insulator structure is disposed in the annular space intermediate the beam collector and the surrounding sheath. The insulator structure includes an array of electrical insulator members with a first array of flexible metallic frame structures joined to said sheath and projecting inwardly to the insulator members. A second array of flexible metallic frame structures are joined to the collector and project outwardly therefrom to the insulators. The flexible frame structures are joined to the insulator members in electrical insulative relation with respect to each other and provide parallel thermally conductive paths for conduction of thermal energy from the collector to the sheath, while allowing for thermal expansion and contraction of the collector.

04 Jun 1996TL;DR: An apparatus and method for precisely calibrating the transfer arm of a multiple-station wafer processing system without breaking vacuum and with a minimum of system downtime is provided in this paper, where a system of determining and properly aligning the crystallographic orientation of the wafers before processing as well as monitoring the orientation of individual wafer during wafer transfer between processing stations is also provided.

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the ion yield can be described by a function of two dimensionless variables, and approximate analytic expressions for the yields were given for a Gaussian beam.
Abstract: The yield of ions from nonresonant multiphoton ionization from a focused laser beam is most intense in the laser beam’s focal plane, where the laser irradiance is most intense. However, appreciable ion yields can exist at significant distances from the focal plane along the laser axis. In many experimental situations ion detectors are sensitive only to limited extents along the laser axis, and ions generated beyond these limits are not detected. We include this effect here and show that for a Gaussian beam this effect can be considerable in realistic situations. We also show that the ion yield can be described by a function of two dimensionless variables, and we present approximate analytic expressions for the yields.

10 Dec 1969TL;DR: In this paper, an electrically conductive clear transparent self-supporting plastic sheet consisting of a homogeneous solid molecular mixture of a clear transparent conductive polymer and a film forming clear transparent polymer is obtained by combining a quaternary ammonium polyelectrolyte, such as polydimethyl diallyl ammonium chloride, with a polyvinyl alcohol, and a mutual solvent such as water.
Abstract: An electrically conductive clear transparent self-supporting plastic sheet consisting of a homogeneous solid molecular mixture of a clear transparent conductive polymer and a film forming clear transparent polymer is obtained by combining a quaternary ammonium polyelectrolyte, such as polydimethyl diallyl ammonium chloride, with a film forming polymer, such as polyvinyl alcohol, and a mutual solvent, such as water. The mixture is then cast onto a smooth surface, the mutual solvent evaporated, and the resultant sheet material stripped from the casting surface to obtain a sheet of electrically conductive clear transparent plastic material useful as a conductive plastic or, after coating with a charge retentive film, as an electrographic recording medium.
