TL;DR: A novel approach that strategically modifies a few transactions in the transaction database to decrease the supports or confidences of sensitive rules without producing the side effects and results show that all the sensitive rules are hidden without spurious rules falsely generated.
Abstract: Data mining techniques have been widely used in various applications. However, the misuse of these techniques may lead to the disclosure of sensitive information. Researchers have recently made efforts at hiding sensitive association rules. Nevertheless, undesired side effects, e.g., nonsensitive rules falsely hidden and spurious rules falsely generated, may be produced in the rule hiding process. In this paper, we present a novel approach that strategically modifies a few transactions in the transaction database to decrease the supports or confidences of sensitive rules without producing the side effects. Since the correlation among rules can make it impossible to achieve this goal, in this paper, we propose heuristic methods for increasing the number of hidden sensitive rules and reducing the number of modified entries. The experimental results show the effectiveness of our approach, i.e., undesired side effects are avoided in the rule hiding process. The results also report that in most cases, all the sensitive rules are hidden without spurious rules falsely generated. Moreover, the good scalability of our approach in terms of database size and the influence of the correlation among rules on rule hiding are observed

20 May 2010TL;DR: In this article, a data storage system consisting of a first memory, a controller, a counting module, and a checking and correcting module is described, where copyback operations are performed in the first memory.
Abstract: A data storage system and method are disclosed The data storage system includes a first memory, a controller, a counting module, and a checking and correcting module Copyback operations are performed in the first memory The controller couples the first memory to the counting module and the checking and correcting module The counting module provides a counting operation for the copyback operations at different logic addresses of the first memory and, according to a counting result of the counting operation, determines whether a checking and correcting requirement has been satisfied by any of the logic addresses The checking and correcting module receives data read out from the first memory, wherein the received data corresponds to a satisfying logic address, and checks, or checks and corrects the received data to correct the first memory accordingly

26 Oct 2009TL;DR: In this paper, a system for fast determination of a horizontal minimum of multiple digital values including a difference circuit and a compare circuit was proposed, where the first adder compares upper bits of a first digital value with lower bits of the second digital value and provides a second carry output.
Abstract: A system for fast determination of a horizontal minimum of multiple digital values including a difference circuit and a compare circuit. The difference circuit may include first and second adders in which the first adder compares upper bits of a first digital value with upper bits of a second digital value and provides a first carry output and a propagate output. The second adder compares lower bits of the first digital value with lower bits of the second digital value and provides a second carry output. The compare circuit determines whether the first digital value is greater than the second digital value based on the carry and propagate outputs. Multiple difference circuits may be used to compare each of multiple digital values with every other digital value to provide corresponding compare bits, which are then used to determine a minimum one of the digital values and its corresponding location.

30 Dec 2013TL;DR: In this article, a natural language dialog system and a method capable of correcting a speech response are provided, where a first speech input is received and parsed to determine whether the first report answer is correct.
Abstract: A natural language dialog system and a method capable of correcting a speech response are provided. The method includes following steps. A first speech input is received. At least one keyword included in the first speech input is parsed to obtain a candidate list having at least one report answers. One of the report answers is selected from the candidate list as a first report answer, and a first speech response is output according to the first report answer. A second speech input is received and parsed to determine whether the first report answer is correct. If the first report answer is incorrect, another report answer other than the first report answer is selected from the candidate list as a second report answer. According to the second report answer, a second speech response is output.

30 Nov 2004TL;DR: In this article, a system for setting user-right is used to set user rights of a plurality of users, consisting of an account creating module, a group, a role, a function, and a relationship defining module.
Abstract: A system for setting user-right is used to set user rights of a plurality of users. The system comprises an account creating module, a group creating module, a role creating module, a function creating module, and a relationship defining module. The account creating module creates a plurality of user accounts corresponding to the users. The group creating module creates at least one group according to the user's organization. The role creating module creates at least one functional role according to jobs or projects of the users. The function creating module creates a plurality of functions corresponding to execution items of the users. The relationship defining module defines that at least one user account is subordinate to the group, and the functional role has the right to execute at least one of the functions. The relationship defining module further creates the relationship between the group and the function role. Furthermore, a method for setting user-right and a recording medium, having a computer executable program for performing the method, are provided.
