Abstract: LiMnPO4 and LiMn0.9Mg0.1PO4 nanostructures were synthesized by a rapid microwave-assisted solvothermal method. Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies confirmed the orthorhombic crystal structure of LiMnPO4 and LiMn0.9Mg0.1PO4 nanostructures. It is also noticed that the Mg2+ ions doping into manganese sites did not affect the crystal structure of LiMnPO4. The scanning electron microscope (SEM) micrographs of LiMnPO4 and LiMn0.9Mg0.1PO4 showed the formation of nanoparticles with mixed morphology, i.e., spherical particle morphology and one-dimensional nanorod morphology. The LiMn0.9Mg0.1PO4 nanoparticles exhibited an improved electrical properties compared to that of LiMnPO4 nanoparticles. At room temperature, LiMn0.9Mg0.1PO4 nanoparticles exhibited an electrical conductivity of 3.705 × 10–7 S cm−1. The dielectric constant of LiMnPO4 and LiMn0.9Mg0.1PO4 nanostructures is high at low frequencies and decreases gradually towards high frequencies. The LiMnPO4 and LiMn0.9Mg0.1PO4 nanostructures are found to exhibit non-Debye-type relaxation behavior.

01 Dec 2010TL;DR: In this paper, a decentralized Fuzzy Logic control for active magnetic bearing (AMB) is proposed. But the proposed control design is based on rule-based procedure and it has been shown, that the presented FL control guarantees satisfactory high damping, low parameter variations and measurement noise of the overall system.
Abstract: Active Magnetic Bearings(AMB) have many advantages such as no friction loss, no abrasion, lubrication-free quality, and used for high rotational speed applications. A complete system consists of an actuator, power amplifier, a rotor position sensor and a control system. In this paper, a closed loop decentralized Fuzzy Logic control for Active magnetic Bearings is designed. For the numerical evaluation of control algorithm a MIMO (multiple input multiple output) mathematical model of the controlled plant is determined. The majority of industrial applications of active magnetic bearings were still based on conventional PID control system. The proposed control design is based on rule based procedure. It has been shown, that the presented FL control guarantees satisfactory high damping, low parameter variations and measurement noise of the overall system. With this FL control we are able to maintain the rotor in center position in the final steady state.

30 Sep 2018TL;DR: The Responsibility to Protect (R2P) project as mentioned in this paper was created in the hope of overcoming the barrier that state sovereignty, as a principle, had become to actions of humanitarian intervention, and it was imagined that as mass atrocity crimes were coming to the attention of the international community, that they were willing, able and eager to intervene in order to stop the violence in question.
Abstract: The Responsibility to Protect (R2P) was created in the hope of overcoming the barrier that state sovereignty, as a principle, had become to actions of humanitarian intervention. It was imagined that as mass atrocity crimes were coming to the attention of the international community, that, on the whole, they were willing, able and eager to intervene in order to stop the violence in question. Holding them back was sovereignty as both a legal and normative barrier. This was always a bad explanation for the pervasive lack of humanitarian intervention; accordingly R2P, as a bad solution, has failed almost entirely. The problem is, and always has been, that when faced with mass atrocity crimes, the international community is plagued by a near-permanent lack of political will to action.
