TL;DR: In this article, swift cup and erichsen cupping tests are used to evaluate the deformation capacity of sheet metal for the deep drawing process, which occurs under a combination of tensile and compressive conditions.
Abstract: The deep drawing process is a forming process which occurs under a combination of tensile and compressive conditions. Formability is the ability of a given metal work piece to undergo plastic deformation without being damaged. The plastic deformation capacity of metallic materials, however, is limited to a certain extent, at which point, the material could experience tearing or fracture. Formability of sheet metal can be evaluated by various tests like swift cup drawing test, fukui's conical cup drawing test, erichsan cupping test, osu Formability Test, Hydraulic Bulge Test, Duncan Friction Test. These tests are widely used to evaluate of formability for different sheet metals. In this paper, swift cup and erichsen cupping tests presented.

Abstract: The integration and development of electronics in the recent years have impacted a major development on the world and humans, one among that is nanotechnology. Nanotechnology has achieved a greater progress in biomedical engineering in diagnosis and treatment, leading to the introduction of nanomaterials for drug delivery, prostheses and implanting. This work describes the Bio-Nano-tools that are developed based on iron oxide properties, automated tools used in the tumor detection, satin bowerbird optimization (SBO) technique employed in diagnosis of skin cancer. This work also highlights the post introduction development of nanomaterials like combination of nanotechnology with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impact, advancement of nanomaterials based on their operations, shapes and characteristics that leading to the growth of nanostructures with operations control properties. The paper also highlights the improvement of silicon neuromorphic photonic processors and parallel simulators in the development of bio inspired computing. We are hopeful that this review article provides future directions in Bio-Inspired Computing. HIGHLIGHTS In processing of medical images, noise plays a challenging role. So, reduction of noise is important, with the data that is analyzed in our review, it is shown that noise reduction can be achieved using Gradient and Feature Adaptive Contour (GFAC) model, with effective results There are many algorithms that are used for skin cancer detection, as highlighted in our review. Amongst all the methods, the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm shows impressive results when compared to other models in terms of feature extraction in dermoscopy images Satin bowerbird optimization (SBO) algorithm helps in improving the CNN efficiency. The optimal justification of the hyper parameter numbers in convolutional neural network (CNN) for skin cancer diagnosis can be achieved using an SBO algorithm

TL;DR: A methodology to generate a dense point cloud of digital surface model (DSM) and digital terrain model (DTM) from 0.6 m GSD stereo images acquired by CARTOSAT-2E satellite of the Indian Space Research Organization is provided.
Abstract: The primary objective of this study is to provide a methodology to generate a dense point cloud of digital surface model (DSM) and digital terrain model (DTM) from 0.6 m GSD stereo images acquired by CARTOSAT-2E satellite of the Indian Space Research Organization. These products are required for many high-resolution applications such as mapping of watersheds and watercourses; river flood modeling; analysis of flood depth, landslide, forest structure, and individual trees; design of highway and canal alignment. The proposed method consists of several processes such as orienting the stereo images, DEM point cloud extraction using the semi-global matching, and DSM to DTM filtering. The stereo model is built by performing aero triangulation and block adjustment using the ground control points. The semi-global matching algorithm is used on the epipolar images to generate the DSM in the form of dense point cloud corresponding to one height point for each pixel. The planimetric and height accuracies are evaluated using orthoimages and DSM and found to be within 3-pixel (~ 2 m) range. A method for extracting DTM by ground point filtering, to discriminate the probable ground points and the non-ground points, is provided by using discrete cosine transformation interpolation. This robust method uses a weight function to differentiate the noise points from the ground points. The overall classification efficiency kappa (κ) value averages at 0.92 for ground point classification/DTM extraction. The results of benchmarking of the GPS-aided GEO augmented navigation GPS receiver by operating it over IGS station, in static mode for collecting the checkpoints, also are presented.
