TL;DR: The double-compartment-based device would be more feasible and appealing as a recycling bin rather than as a refuse storage bin primarily due to the inclusion of dish-plantation and the standardization of composting control parameters is discussed.
Abstract: Since the municipal waste management and community garbage-treating systems are in vogue, there is a growing need for the waste minimization to keep our vicinity clean and green. Therefore, a feasible indoor device is designed for recycling domestic vegetable scrap by adopting the principle of soil ecosystem. To arrive at the composting process control parameters in the proposed device, the soil from landfill and quarry along with supplements namely sawdust, cow dung/yeast and the resident thermophilic bacteria are analysed. The soil parameters namely pH, electrical conductivity, Organic carbon, P, K, Fe, moisture content and the presence of thermophilic bacteria varied significantly between negative control sample (NCS) and positive control sample (PCS) and post-treatment positive control group with dried cow dung (PPC-C)-derived compost is soft-textured and homogenous. Furthermore, the double-compartment-based device would be more feasible and appealing as a recycling bin rather than as a refuse storage...

TL;DR: In this article, the intrinsic kinetics parameters for steam gasification and water-gas shift reaction were estimated by fitting the developed models with the experimental data, and a one-dimensional unsteady kinetic model was developed for the steam-gasification process in a fixed-bed reactor.
Abstract: In the present study, the steam gasification of Indian coal and its demineralized coal were investigated in a specially designed fixed-bed reactor, to determine the intrinsic kinetics parameters with optimum operating temperature and partial pressures of steam in the perspective of underground coal gasification (UCG). The gasification reactivity of a chosen coal was higher compared to the demineralized coal and the reason could be mineral content of ash present in the coal. A one-dimensional unsteady kinetic model was developed for the steam gasification process in a fixed-bed reactor. The intrinsic kinetic parameters for steam gasification and water–gas shift reaction are estimated by fitting the developed models with the experimental data.

TL;DR: Taking into consideration the application of collagen in food industry, a food product was developed by incorporating with fresh cheese and was found to be acceptable and had not altered the taste, odor and other sensory properties of the product.
Abstract: The primary objective of this study was to extract collagen from underutilized fish species owing to its cost effective nature and also its ability to address the demand of type I collagen arising from food and pharmaceutical industries. Acid and pepsin soluble collagen (ppASC and ppPSC) were extracted from the skin of sucker catfish (Pterygoplichthys pardalis) with a yield of 19.6 and 23.8% on wet weight basis respectively. The same were characterized and confirmed as type I collagen by SDS-PAGE, FTIR and UV-Vis spectroscopy, amino acid analysis, and Zeta potential. Taking into consideration the application of collagen in food industry, a food product was developed by incorporating with fresh cheese. This fortification was found to be acceptable and had not altered the taste, odor and other sensory properties of the product.

TL;DR: A low cost Arduino based Automatic Irrigation system using Soil moisture sensor is presented in this paper in which the soil moisture sensor gives it's output depending on the conditions of the soil and later with the help of Arduino it get's worked.
Abstract: A low cost Arduino based Automatic Irrigation system using Soil moisture sensor is presented in this paper in which the soil moisture sensor gives it's output depending on the conditions of the soil and later with the help of Arduino it get's worked. As agriculture is given higher priority in the life of an economy so for the better agricultural growth, water is essential factor. Lack of enough water and excess of water leads to damage of plants. So we need an effective and efficient technology for better farming. Thus, the usage of a low cost arduino based automatic irrigation system using soil moisture sensor is expected to be useful to for the irrigation process in agriculture. This system requires an Arduino-UNO which contains ADC converter in it. A soil moisture sensor is the main component in this system which is used to measure the conditions of the soil like whether the soil is dry or wet. For displaying the conditions of the soil, 16×2 LCD display is the better choice to display and at last a motor is used to pump the water to the plant or crops.
