01 Dec 2013TL;DR: An effective resolution enhancement approach for images such as satellite images as well as normal images is proposed and Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and visual results out performs the state of art image resolution enhancement techniques.
Abstract: This paper proposes an effective resolution enhancement approach for images such as satellite images as well as normal images. In this method DT-CWT and bicubic interpolation were used. The proposed method was tested on well-known benchmark images. Finally Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and visual results of the proposed method out performs the state of art image resolution enhancement techniques.

TL;DR: The existence and uniqueness theorems for a fixed point and coincidence point, coupled coincidence point and coupled common fixed points for two mappings satisfying generalized -contractive conditions in complete partially ordered b -metric spaces are proved.
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to establish some fixed point, coincidence point and, coupled coincidence and coupled common fixed point results for generalized $$(\phi , \psi )$$
-contractive mappings in partially ordered b-metric spaces. Our results generalize, extend and unify most of the fundamental metrical fixed point theorems in the existing literature. Few examples are illustrated to justify our results. The existence and uniqueness theorems for a fixed point and coincidence point, coupled coincidence point and coupled common fixed points for two mappings satisfying generalized $$(\phi , \psi )$$
-contractive conditions in complete partially ordered b-metric spaces are proved. These results generalize several comparable results in the existing literature.

01 Jan 2019TL;DR: In this paper, most of the studies related to self-healing of concrete are reviewed and a review of the methods and tests used for assessing selfhealing are reviewed. But, the authors do not discuss the effects of these studies on concrete.
Abstract: Concrete is one of the most durable and long lastly used construction materials. Cracks are formed in concrete due to low tensile strength. These cracks are providing a pathway for the liquids and gases in the environment to enter into the concrete. Because of these gases and liquids, not only the concrete gets affected but corrosion of steel also happens. The durability and service life of structures decreases. Nowadays, repair, rehabilitation, and maintenance of structures are expensive and time-consuming. The cracks which are present in the concrete cannot get repaired by these actions. To improve the durability of structures by the healing of cracks, self-healing mechanism is the one which was used for many decades. This mechanism can be taken from the stimulus of biological systems. Along with healing, improving the strength is also important. This paper outlines most of the studies related to self-healing of concrete. The methods and tests used for assessing self-healing are reviewed.

01 Feb 2017TL;DR: The analysis presents biometric cryptosystems and cancelable biometrics with major outlook to recent prospects like obfuscation and multi-object biometric system.
Abstract: Biometric template protection techniques like biometric cryptosystems and cancelable biometrics are most widely used in many large-scale biometric systems. Though generic biometric cryptosystems differ from other conventional cryptosystems, still it is insufficient to overcome the challenges ahead of identity frauds and vulnerabilities to major attacks. In recent years it's been used as promising primitives in many Internet of Things (IoT) devices and third party Intellectual Property protections with the name called cancelable biometrics where both user-defined random transformations are combined with biometric template vectors. However, protection over biometric templates (e.g., retina, iris, and palmprint) needs to be improved. In this work, the analysis presents biometric cryptosystems and cancelable biometrics with major outlook to recent prospects like obfuscation and multi-object biometric system.
