TL;DR: In this article, a one-dimensional finite element having twelve degrees of freedom per node based on a simple higher shear deformation theory (HSDT) which satisfies the zero transverse shear stress at the top and bottom surface and avoids the use of shear correction factors is developed.

TL;DR: A simple, efficient and high-yield process for the production of copper oxide nanoparticles dispersed on a chemically inert material, few-layer hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) with a thickness around 1.7nm and lateral dimensions mostly below 200nm is reported.

TL;DR: In this paper, the electrodynamics of the pre-sunrise equatorial F-region were investigated using HF Doppler radar and digital ionosonde and the observations were limited to those days for which the radar probing frequency is below the foF2 value.
Abstract: The electrodynamics of the pre-sunrise equatorial F-region is investigated using HF Doppler radar and digital ionosonde. The observations are limited to those days for which the radar probing frequency is below the foF2 value. The ionosphere observation using HF Doppler radar exhibit interesting features during pre-sunrise period similar to the post sunset pre-reversal enhancement. The most striking fea- ture observed during pre-sunrise period is the sudden down- ward excursion in the vertical drift around local sunrise fol- lowed by an upward turning. Pre-sunrise observations of ver- tical plasma drift and the sunrise downward excursion fol- lowed by an upward turning after the ground sunrise related to the zonal electric field at the equatorial F-region are the most significant results not reported earlier.

TL;DR: In this article, a large deflection analysis of a cantilever beam under a tip concentrated rotational load governed by a second order nonlinear differential equation is solved with a simple and accurate numerical scheme.
Abstract: Large deflection analysis of a cantilever beam under a tip concentrated rotational load governed by a second order nonlinear differential equation is solved with a simple and accurate numerical scheme. The details of load deflection curves for a class of beams having variable cross-section are presented.

TL;DR: The Mars Exospheric Neutral Composition Analyser (MENCA) onboard the Indian Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) is a quadrupole mass spectrometer which provides in situ measurement of the composition of the low-latitude Martian neutral exosphere.
Abstract: The Mars Exospheric Neutral Composition Analyser (MENCA) aboard the Indian Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) is a quadrupole mass spectrometer which provides in situ measurement of the composition of the low-latitude Martian neutral exosphere. The altitude profiles of the three major constituents, i.e., amu 44 (CO2), amu 28 (N2 + CO), and amu 16 (O) in the Martian exosphere during evening (close to sunset terminator) hours are reported using MENCA observations from four orbits of MOM during late December 2014, when MOM's periapsis altitude was the lowest. The altitude range of the observation encompasses the diffusively separated region much above the well-mixed atmosphere. The transition from CO2 to O-dominated region is observed near 270 km. The mean exospheric temperature derived using these three mass numbers is 271 ± 5 K. These first observations corresponding to the Martian evening hours would help to provide constraints to the thermal escape models.
