TL;DR: In this article, the Riesz transforms and conjugate Poisson integrals for multi-dimensional Laguerre function expansions of type α are defined and investigated, and it is proved that for any multi-index α = ( α 1, …, α d ) such that α i ⩾ − 1 / 2, the appropriately defined Riestz-Laguerres transforms R j α, j = 1, 2, …, d, are Calderon-Zygmund operators in the sense of the associated space of homogeneous type, hence their mapping

TL;DR: In this paper, the behavior of the general family of nonparametric estimates was studied and sufficient conditions for mean square and complete convergence were derived for the Priestley-Chao and Gasser-Muller-Cheng-Lin estimates.

TL;DR: A simple test which allows to verify ergodic properties of a real-life process and applies to experimental data describing the motion of mRNA molecules inside live Escherichia coli cells, showing that the data satisfy necessary conditions for mixing and ergodicity.
Abstract: Recent advances in single-molecule experiments show that various complex systems display nonergodic behavior. In this paper, we show how to test ergodicity and ergodicity breaking in experimental data. Exploiting the so-called dynamical functional, we introduce a simple test which allows us to verify ergodic properties of a real-life process. The test can be applied to a large family of stationary infinitely divisible processes. We check the performance of the test for various simulated processes and apply it to experimental data describing the motion of mRNA molecules inside live Escherichia coli cells. We show that the data satisfy necessary conditions for mixing and ergodicity. The detailed analysis is presented in the supplementary material.

TL;DR: This work found that code coverage measures can be useful as indicators of the thoroughness of unit test suites, while mutation testing turned out to be eective at nding faults.
Abstract: Background: Test-First programming is regarded as one of the software development practices that can make unit tests to be more rigorous, thorough and eective in fault detection. Code coverage measures can be useful as indicators of the thoroughness of unit test suites, while mutation testing turned out to be eective at nding faults.
