TL;DR: In this paper, a survey of recent development of FLC-APGD in respect to basic researches and its applications in element analysis by optical emission spectrometry (OES).
Abstract: Atmospheric pressure glow discharge (APGD) sustained in air between a metallic pin anode and the surface of a flowing liquid cathode (FLC) solution is a small and compact excitation source, in which the analytes are inherently transported to the discharge during its normal operation through electro-spray-like generation of tiny solution droplets and/or sputtering of the FLC solution surface. This survey is devoted to recent development of FLC–APGD in respect to basic researches and its applications in element analysis by optical emission spectrometry (OES). Particular attention is paid to the latest modifications in the construction of the discharge cells and the composition of the FLC solution and their implications for analytical performance of FLC–APGD–OES.

TL;DR: A complete solution to the inverse problem is presented under assumption that the kinematics are equivalent to the quadratic normal form, and comparisons with other existing methods, including the singularity-robust inverse, reveal advantages of the normal form approach.
Abstract: In this article, a new method of solving the singular inverse kinematic problem for nonredundant robotic manipulators is proposed, based on normal forms of the manipulator kinematics. A complete solution to the inverse problem is presented under assumption that the kinematics are equivalent to the quadratic normal form. Comparisons with other existing methods, including the singularity-robust inverse, are made that reveal advantages of the normal form approach. Experimental results concerned with singular tracking in the AdeptOne manipulator are reported.

TL;DR: The mathematical models of the Kalman filters used in this study are presented, and the results of the identification procedure are described, showing the effectiveness of the proposed high-performance control structure.
Abstract: In this paper, issues related to parameter identification and high-performance control of the drive system with an elastic joint are discussed. After a brief introduction, the mathematical model of the drive and the proposed high-performance control structure are presented. The effect of the location of closed-loop poles and cancellation of zeros of the structure is examined. Then, the mathematical models of the Kalman filters used in this study are presented, and the results of the identification procedure are described. The effectiveness of the proposed structure has been examined under simulation and experimental study.
