TL;DR: The relationship between "smart city" and "digital city" is summarized, putting forward the main content of application systems as well as the importance and difficulty of the construction of “smart city”.
Abstract: Based on the “digital city”, “smart city” is widely used in daily livelihood, environmental protection, public security, city services and other fields. In this paper, we mainly focus on recent research and the concept of “smart city”, summarizing the relationship between "smart city" and "digital city", putting forward the main content of application systems as well as the importance and difficulty of the construction of “smart city”, and making a brief statement of the influence of developing smart city in China.

TL;DR: This work proposes a CPPA scheme for VANETs that does not use bilinear paring and demonstrates that it could supports both the mutual authentication and the privacy protection simultaneously and yields a better performance in terms of computation cost and communication cost.
Abstract: By broadcasting messages about traffic status to vehicles wirelessly, a vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) can improve traffic safety and efficiency. To guarantee secure communication in VANETs, security and privacy issues must be addressed before their deployment. The conditional privacy-preserving authentication (CPPA) scheme is suitable for solving security and privacy-preserving problems in VANETs, because it supports both mutual authentication and privacy protection simultaneously. Many identity-based CPPA schemes for VANETs using bilinear pairings have been proposed over the last few years to enhance security or to improve performance. However, it is well known that the bilinear pairing operation is one of the most complex operations in modern cryptography. To achieve better performance and reduce computational complexity of information processing in VANET, the design of a CPPA scheme for the VANET environment that does not use bilinear paring becomes a challenge. To address this challenge, we propose a CPPA scheme for VANETs that does not use bilinear paring and we demonstrate that it could supports both the mutual authentication and the privacy protection simultaneously. Our proposed CPPA scheme retains most of the benefits obtained with the previously proposed CPPA schemes. Moreover, the proposed CPPA scheme yields a better performance in terms of computation cost and communication cost making it be suitable for use by the VANET safety-related applications.

TL;DR: This review introduced methodological quality assessment tools for randomized controlled trial, animal study, non-randomized interventional studies, qualitative study, outcome measurement instruments, systematic review and meta-analysis, and clinical practice guideline.
Abstract: Methodological quality (risk of bias) assessment is an important step before study initiation usage. Therefore, accurately judging study type is the first priority, and the choosing proper tool is also important. In this review, we introduced methodological quality assessment tools for randomized controlled trial (including individual and cluster), animal study, non-randomized interventional studies (including follow-up study, controlled before-and-after study, before-after/ pre-post study, uncontrolled longitudinal study, interrupted time series study), cohort study, case-control study, cross-sectional study (including analytical and descriptive), observational case series and case reports, comparative effectiveness research, diagnostic study, health economic evaluation, prediction study (including predictor finding study, prediction model impact study, prognostic prediction model study), qualitative study, outcome measurement instruments (including patient - reported outcome measure development, content validity, structural validity, internal consistency, cross-cultural validity/ measurement invariance, reliability, measurement error, criterion validity, hypotheses testing for construct validity, and responsiveness), systematic review and meta-analysis, and clinical practice guideline. The readers of our review can distinguish the types of medical studies and choose appropriate tools. In one word, comprehensively mastering relevant knowledge and implementing more practices are basic requirements for correctly assessing the methodological quality.
