TL;DR: A new corner sort is proposed, which adopts a fast and simple method to obtain a nondominated solution from the corner solutions, and then uses the nondominated Solution to ignore the solutions dominated by it to save comparisons.
Abstract: Nondominated sorting plays an important role in Pareto-based multiobjective evolutionary algorithms (MOEAs). When faced with many-objective optimization problems multiobjective optimization problems (MOPs) with more than three objectives, the number of comparisons needed in nondominated sorting becomes very large. In view of this, a new corner sort is proposed in this paper. Corner sort first adopts a fast and simple method to obtain a nondominated solution from the corner solutions, and then uses the nondominated solution to ignore the solutions dominated by it to save comparisons. Obtaining the nondominated solutions requires much fewer objective comparisons in corner sort. In order to evaluate its performance, several state-of-the-art nondominated sorts are compared with our corner sort on three kinds of artificial solution sets of MOPs and the solution sets generated from MOEAs on benchmark problems. On one hand, the experiments on artificial solution sets show the performance on the solution sets with different distributions. On the other hand, the experiments on the solution sets generated from MOEAs show the influence that different sorts bring to MOEAs. The results show that corner sort performs well, especially on many-objective optimization problems. Corner sort uses fewer comparisons than others.

TL;DR: An ID-based broadcast encryption scheme is proposed, by which a center can distribute keys over a network, so that each member of a privileged subset of users can compute a specified key.
Abstract: A broadcast encryption scheme enables a center to distribute keys and/or broadcast a message in a secure way over an insecure channel to an arbitrary subset of privileged recipients. In this paper, an ID-based broadcast encryption scheme is proposed, by which a center can distribute keys over a network, so that each member of a privileged subset of users can compute a specified key. Then a conventional private-key cryptosystem, such as DES, can be used to encrypt the subsequent broadcast with the distributed key. Because a key distribution can be done in an encrypted broadcast without any key pre-distribution, re-keying protocols for group membership operations can be simplified, a center can use the ID-based broadcast encryption scheme again to distribute a new and random session key. The ID-based broadcast encryption scheme from bilinear pairings is based on a variant of the Boneh-Franklin identity based encryption scheme.

TL;DR: A system for sampling UWB echo signal at a rate much lower than Nyquist rate and performing signal detection is proposed in this paper, and an approach of constructing basis functions according to matching rules is proposed to achieve sparse signal representation.
Abstract: A major challenge in ultra-wide-band (UWB) signal processing is the requirement for very high sampling rate. The recently emerging compressed sensing (CS) theory makes processing UWB signal at a low sampling rate possible if the signal has a sparse representation in a certain space. Based on the CS theory, a system for sampling UWB echo signal at a rate much lower than Nyquist rate and performing signal detection is proposed in this paper. First, an approach of constructing basis functions according to matching rules is proposed to achieve sparse signal representation because the sparse representation of signal is the most important precondition for the use of CS theory. Second, based on the matching basis functions and using analog-to-information converter, a UWB signal detection system is designed in the framework of the CS theory. With this system, a UWB signal, such as a linear frequency-modulated signal in radar system, can be sampled at about 10% of Nyquist rate, but still can be reconstructed and detected with overwhelming probability. The simulation results show that the proposed method is effective for sampling and detecting UWB signal directly even without a very high-frequency analog-to-digital converter.
