TL;DR: This paper addresses the synchronization problem for complex networks perturbed by Brown noises and Poisson noises by utilizing the martingale theory such as the predictable projection operator and the dual predictable projectionoperator to transform the expectation of the stochastic integral with respect to the Poisson process into that of Lebesgue integral.
Abstract: Stochastic disturbances, such as Brown noises and Poisson noises, are ubiquitous in the real world. It is necessary to consider these noises' effect for dynamical behaviors of complex networks. This paper addresses the synchronization problem for complex networks perturbed by Brown noises and Poisson noises. By utilizing the martingale theory such as the predictable projection operator and the dual predictable projection operator, we transform the expectation of the stochastic integral with respect to the Poisson process into the expectation of Lebesgue integral. Then, based on this, this paper presents a global synchronization criterion for complex networks perturbed by Brown noises and Poisson noises. Finally, two numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

TL;DR: In this article, bottom slag and sewage sludge from municipal solid waste incineration and sewage treatment plants were co-sintered for use as a cost-effective adsorbent for phosphate removal from aqueous solutions.
Abstract: Bottom slag and sewage sludge discharged from municipal solid waste incineration and sewage treatment plants were co-sintered for use as a cost-effective adsorbent for phosphate removal from aqueous solutions. The Langmuir isotherm model (which gives a better description of phosphate sorption than the Freundlich model) was adopted to describe the action of the synthesized adsorbent and also for phosphate sorption by either zeolite or ironstone. The model showed that the maximum sorption capacity of the synthesized adsorbent (27,030 mg kg–1) was 38.2 greater than for zeolite and 70.6 times greater than for ironstone. Desorption of phosphate from the synthesized adsorbent at different initial concentrations was about 4.98 %, which was several times lower than for zeolite. The phosphate removal capacity of the synthesized adsorbent remained constant for solution pH values ranging from 3 to 10, which was an improvement on the capacity of the other two adsorbents; its buffering capacity was also superior. The immobilization of phosphate on the synthesized adsorbent might be attributed mainly to complexation with Fe, Al, and Ca ions. Heavy metal ion concentrations in the leachate of the synthesized adsorbent were negligible.

TL;DR: A novel algorithm, which is named as RNDEtree, a nonlinear ordinary differential equation model based on a flexible neural tree to improve the accuracy of the GRN reconstruction and demonstrate that the proposed method could infer more correctly GRN than the other state-the-art methods.
Abstract: Gene regulatory network (GRN) could provide guidance for understanding the internal laws of biological phenomena and analyzing several diseases. Ordinary differential equation model, which owns continuity and flexibility, has been utilized to identify GRN over the past decade. In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm, which is named as RNDEtree, a nonlinear ordinary differential equation model based on a flexible neural tree to improve the accuracy of the GRN reconstruction. In this model, a flexible neural tree can be utilized to approximate the nonlinear regulation function of an ordinary differential equation model. Multiexpression programming is proposed to evolve the structure of a flexible neural tree, and the brainstorm optimization algorithm is utilized to optimize the parameters of the RNDEtree model. In order to improve the false-positive ratio of this method, a novel fitness function is proposed, in which sparse and minimum redundancy maximum relevance (mRMR) terms are considered when optimizing RNDEtree. The performances of our proposed algorithm can be evaluated by the benchmark datasets from the DREAM challenge and real biological dataset in E. coli. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method could infer more correctly GRN than the other state-the-art methods.

Abstract: The emission tests were performed on a light-duty direct injection diesel engine. A polyoxymethylene dimethyl ethers (PODE) mixture was blended with diesel at a volume ratio of 0, 10, 20 and 30%, denoted as P0, P10, P20 and P30, respectively. The particle size distribution before and after the diesel particulate filter (DPF) was measured to evaluate the DPF filtering efficiency of various modal particles. The oxidation activity of the particles on the DPF intake end plane was analyzed by the Arrhenius method. The regeneration of the DPF was conducted using a non-thermal plasma (NTP) injection system. The results showed that blending PODE with diesel contributed to reducing the particle number concentrations. PODE adversely affected the improvement of the DPF filtering efficiency, especially that of P30. However, the DPF filtering efficiency of all fuels was still higher than 94%. Blending PODE with diesel increased the mass fraction of volatile substances (VS) and decreased the mass fraction of dry soot. Particles of P20 showed a better oxidation activity with lower apparent activation energy. In addition, PODE increased the DPF regeneration effect by NTP technology. The deposit removal mass of the DPF rose to the peak level and then decreased as the PODE blending ratio increased. The better DPF regeneration effect was observed when P20 was employed.
