TL;DR: In this article, the performance of cutting tooth directly affects the mining capacity, the driving efficiency, and the service life of the tool, and they analyzed the surface wear scar of morphology.
Abstract: The cutting pick is primarily used in footing excavation such as coal mining and roadway excavation, so the performance of cutting tooth directly affect the mining capacity, the driving efficiency, and the service life of the tool. The quality of domestic mining pick is lower than that abroad, especially the tooth body wear of the whole shearer picks accounts for half of its overall failure. Thus tooth body 40Cr was treated by various heat treatment processes in this experiment, so as to improve the hardness and wear resistance of cutting tooth, analysis the surface wear scar of morphology, research the wear mechanism, that made for reducing the consumption of cutting tooth, improving work efficiency, and easing the labor intensity of workers undergound.

TL;DR: In this article, the tunable multimode electromagnetically induced absorption (EIA)-like transmission was investigated in a two-ring system, and several ways to modulate the EIA-like transmission spectra were provided.
Abstract: The tunable multimode electromagnetically induced absorption (EIA)-like transmission was investigated in a two-ring system. In this system, by introducing asymmetry factor δi = λr - λr′, we provided several ways to modulate the EIA-like transmission spectra. An off-to-on EIA-like response could be realized by changing the radius or the refractive index of the rings. During the off-to-on process, we found the red shift and blue shift effects in the spectra are appeared and the widths of EIA-like dips are broadened. Numerical simulation by finite element method was conducted to verify our discussion. We believe all these would provide guidelines to design the useful EIA-like devices.

TL;DR: In this article, a 3D Pd3Pb nanocatalyst with a flower-like structure was proposed for liquid fuel electrooxidation with high performance in the alkaline media.
Abstract: Designing and developing cost-efficient catalysts for liquid fuel electrooxidation with excellent performances in the alkaline media are of paramount significance for the practical applications of direct fuel cells. Herein, we describe the design and fabrication of well-defined three-dimensional (3D) Pd3Pb nanocatalysts with flower-like structure. Specifically, benefiting from the high surface active areas and modified electronic structure, the as-obtained 3D flower-like Pd3Pb catalysts can exhibit outstanding electrocatalytic performances with the mass and specific activities of 4515.8 mA/mg and 10.0 mA/cm2 toward ethylene glycol oxidation reaction (EGOR), which are 4.3 and 5.0 times higher than those of benchmark Pd/C catalysts, respectively. Moreover, the resultant 3D flower-like Pd3Pb nanocrystals (NCs) can also maintain for 500 cycles potential CV with less catalytic degradation and morphology variation. This work not only affords a fascinating electrocatalysts for the liquid fuel oxidation but also manifests the significance of precise morphology control of catalysts for the application of fuel cells.
