TL;DR: In this paper, the instantaneous and time-averaged characteristics of droplet size distributions were analyzed and shown to be highly dependent on the growth time and the target area of the droplet.
Abstract: Droplet growth processes during dropwise condensation are simulated with a help of computer. We focus on instantaneous and time-averaged characteristics of droplet size distributions. Based on simulation results, shift of a single peak from small to large size is a significant characteristic for the instantaneous distribution before the first departure. Once condensing surface was refreshed time and again by shedding droplets, then coexistence, shift and combination of multiple peaks is the dominant feature. This indicates that the instantaneous droplet size distribution highly depends on growth time and target area. The findings can explain why different distribution characteristics were reported in experiments. Different from the instantaneous distribution, time-averaged size distributions for coalesced droplets follow a power-law style due to a collaboration of coalescence events and re-nucleation behaviors. However, the size range for the power-law distributions were affected by nucleation density. This requires an appropriate usage of the empirical or fractal model to predict theoretically heat transfer rate of dropwise condensation. The present work provides a comprehensive understanding of the instantaneous and time-averaged characteristics of droplet size distributions.

TL;DR: In this article, an unascertained measure model was used to assess the effluent quality from a printing and dyeing wastewater treatment plant and the results show that the assessment result can objectively reflect the wastewater quality, which provides a new method and way for assessment of discharged wastewater quality and has theoretical and practical value.
Abstract: Considering the unreasonableness of wastewater quality class divided by single factor, the unascertained measure model was used to assess the effluent quality from a printing and dyeing wastewater treatment plant. The results show that the assessment result can objectively reflect the wastewater quality, which provides a new method and way for assessment of discharged wastewater quality and has theoretical and practical value.Due to the ordered division of assessment space, the unascertained measure model improves distinguish level. It has reliable assessment result and is a practical model.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors focus on the development and explanation of the theory behind the creation and death of this preputial industry of fear, and present the concept of social GDP and free GDP, which can help to present the longterm economic effects of the reduction or possible elimination of defence spending by national governments.
Abstract: Human defence expenditure has increased due to the need for permanent military and police forces, which has led to the creation of a perpetual fear industry. The so-called fear industry refers to the industry created due to real or perceived fear, without this fear, the industry cannot be created. Most defence economic studies (both military and police) focus on various empiric aspects such as opportunity costs, GDP growth, public expenditure and defence industry taxes. However, this study focuses on the development and explanation of the theory behind the creation and death of this preputial industry of fear. This study also presents the concept of social GDP and free GDP, which can help to present the long-term economic effects of the reduction or possible elimination of defence spending by national governments. Decreased defence spending generally has economic and social benefits for the general public. In the long run, rising costs of the defence industry (military and police spending, etc.) and other miscellaneous social issues can lead to civil unrest or possible civil wars, which can have a devastating impact on global economies in the long run. It is therefore in the interests of global economies to begin to reduce expenditure, to seek cheaper and more acceptable alternatives, and eventually to get rid of these fear-based expenditures.

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper used a quantitative approach based on a survey with 406 respondents visiting the city of Kaiping in Guangdong, China, and found a positive correlation between local community participation, authenticity, access to local products, destination visit image, tourist satisfaction, and tourist loyalty.
Abstract: Cultural heritage tourist destinations have emerged as a hot topic in the tourism literature, but there have been relatively few studies to determine the role of local participation involvement in either tourism planning or tourists’ decision-making processes. The connection between local community participation, authenticity, access to local products, destination visit image, tourist satisfaction, and tourist loyalty is thus relatively unexplored in the literature. This study used a quantitative approach based on a survey with 406 respondents visiting the city of Kaiping in Guangdong, China. The proposed hypotheses were empirically tested with SPSS and AMOS. The resulting outcomes indicate a positive correlation between local community participation, authenticity, and access to local and destination visit image, which led to tourist satisfaction and ultimately resulted in tourist loyalty. Additional theoretical contributions, practical implications, and limitations are also discussed.
