Abstract: An ultraviolet/biological (UV/B) reactor was used to treat the secondary effluent of wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). A continuous flow experiment proved that the UV/B reactor could significantly reduce nitrogenous compounds, and the UV/B reactor had a higher removal rate of total nitrogen (TN), nitrate nitrogen (NO3−–N), ammonia nitrogen (NH4+–N), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) and Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) at an UV/biological degradation stage than a biological degradation stage. The effect of hydraulic retention time (HRT), water temperature, pH, and dissolved oxygen (DO) on NO3−–N removal in the UV/B reactor was discussed, and it was found that the HRT and water temperature significantly influenced the NO3−–N removal efficiency, but the effect of pH and DO on NO3−–N removal was not significant.

Abstract: In order to efficiently use low rank coals, thermal dissolution (TD) of Shengli lignite (SL) was carried out in a mixed solvent toluene/ethanol with synergistic effect and the TDSL was analyzed with gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). Seventy one oxygen-containing organic compounds (OCOCs) including alcohols, phenols, ethers, ketones, acids, and esters were detected. Among the OCOCs, the relative content of phenols and esters is higher, and their possible formation mechanisms are discussed. Hence, understanding the structure of OCOCs in lignite at the molecular level is more promising to convert the low calorific fuel into high-valued organic compounds.

Abstract: For welding image after pretreatment, First, GAP predictor templates predict error image,using the 2D Maximum Between· cluster Variance (OTSU) method combined with improved genetic algorithm to calculate the threshold ,Then classified errors image edge, weld image edge was extract. Experiments show that the method to detect the weld image edge not only decrease the time complexity, but also get the clearer edges, more details, and better visual image.
