TL;DR: This paper concentrates on the information available on the surface web through general web pages and the hidden information behind the query interface, called deep web, and examines the three main components of search engines.
Abstract: ICT plays a vital role in human development through information extraction and includes computer networks and telecommunication networks. One of the important modules of ICT is computer networks, which are the backbone of the World Wide Web (WWW). Search engines are computer programs that browse and extract information from the WWW in a systematic and automatic manner. This paper examines the three main components of search engines: Extractor, a web crawler which starts with a URL; Analyzer, an indexer that processes words on the web page and stores the resulting index in a database; and Interface Generator, a query handler that understands the need and preferences of the user. This paper concentrates on the information available on the surface web through general web pages and the hidden information behind the query interface, called deep web. This paper emphasizes the Extraction of relevant information to generate the preferred content for the user as the first result of his or her search query. This paper discusses the aspect of deep web with analysis of a few existing deep web search engines.

TL;DR: In this paper, a high performance rectangular microstrip patch antenna (RMPA) has been designed using doubleHshaped metamaterial, which has been optimized at 5.2 GHz resonant frequency of patch antenna.
Abstract: In this paper a high performance rectangular microstrip patch antenna (RMPA) has been designed using doubleHshaped metamaterial. First, the doubleHshaped metamaterial has been designed and optimized at 5.2 GHz resonant frequency of patch antenna. It has been found that embedding of this metamaterial into the substrate beneath the reference patch antenna improves its return loss and bandwidth without changing the resonant frequency and gain. To further enhance the gain and efficiency of the metamaterial embedded RMPA a superstrate of double H shaped metamaterial has been applied at the distance of -/3 over it. Finally, a high gain, broadband and good impedance matched metamaterial inspired RMPA has been obtained. The proposed antenna was simulated and optimized using HFSS software. The prototype antenna has been fabricated and measured results of the proposed antenna are found to be in good agreement with the simulated results.

TL;DR: In this paper, a computer program based on the analytical approach has been developed in FORTRAN, for determination of the fatigue life of a leaf spring of a light commercial vehicle.
Abstract: The experimental investigation to predict the effect of mechanical processing, strength reduction factors, design, geometric tolerances and material factors on the fatigue life of a leaf spring is costly and time-consuming process. A computer program based on the analytical approach has been developed in FORTRAN, for determination of the fatigue life of a leaf spring of a light commercial vehicle. It takes into account the effect of five factors namely overall strength reduction factor (processing), stiffness (design), span and width (geometry) and ultimate tensile strength (material) on the fatigue life of the leaf spring. The results of the program have been validated experimentally using a full-scale leaf spring testing machine. A mathematical model has also been developed using response surface methodology. The optimal sets of parameters yielding the maximum fatigue life are obtained using the desirability approach. The confirmatory experiments are carried out and the results indicate that the developed model is appropriate for determination of fatigue life within 5 % variation. The interaction effects of the factors affecting fatigue life have also been studied and the overall strength reduction factor is found to be the most significant one.

09 Mar 2013TL;DR: This work proposes a multi-agent hybrid protocol exploiting the benefits of both value and decision fusion by performing aggregation at the source level in a clustered WSN.
Abstract: Data fusion deals with collaborative in-network processing and gathers relatively accurate information about the events in the environment. Conventional data fusion algorithms when assisted with mobile agent technology shifts computationally intensive tasks to these intelligent units thereby increasing the lifetime of the network. There exist mobile agent based event driven protocols for accumulating and forwarding the information to the sink(base station) eg: Tree-based Itinerary Design [4]. Usually, such protocols either deploy value-based fusion or decision-based fusion but very few are using both at the same time. Moreover, use of multi-agent systems(MAS) in such protocols is still in its infancy. The focus of this work is thus to propose a multi-agent hybrid protocol exploiting the benefits of both value and decision fusion by performing aggregation at the source level in a clustered WSN.

TL;DR: In this paper, a multiple attribute decision making method methodology is structured to resolve the problem of evaluation of the most appropriate flexibility in the manufacturing sector is one of the strategic issues that may affect the flexible manufacturing system (FMS).
Abstract: The evaluation of the most appropriate flexibility in the manufacturing sector is one of the strategic issues that may affect the flexible manufacturing system (FMS). In this paper, a multiple attribute decision making method methodology is structured to resolve this problem. The two decision making methods, which are analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and compromise solution method, also known as the VIsekriterijumsko KOmpromisno Rangiranje (VIKOR) method, are integrated in order to make the best use of information available. The purpose of using AHP is to turn over the weights of the variable and the VIKOR method is allowed to rank flexibility in FMS. Furthermore, the method uses fuzzy logic to alter the qualitative attributes into the quantitative attributes. Fifteen factors are taken for the evaluation of 15 flexibilities. In this paper, we concluded that production flexibility has the most impact in 15 flexibilities and programme flexibility has the least impact in these 15 flexibilities by this methodology.
