TL;DR: In this article, the chemical precipitation route for the preparation of undoped ZnO and Er doped ZNO nanostructures at different concentrations represents an easy, fast and efficient method.
Abstract: In this report, undoped ZnO and Er doped ZnO nanostructures [Zn1−xErxO, where x = 1, 3, 5 and 7 at.%] were synthesized by chemical precipitation technique. The chemical precipitation route for the preparation of undoped ZnO and Er doped ZnO nanostructures at different concentrations represents an easy, fast and efficient method. The synthesized nanostructures were characterized to analyze their crystal structure, crystal morphology, optical and magnetic properties using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), High resolution scanning electron microscopy (HRSEM), Ultraviolet–Visible spectroscopy (UV–Visible), Photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL) and Vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) respectively. The XRD studies exposed that undoped ZnO and all Er doped ZnO samples have a hexagonal wurtzite crystal structure. The XRD results showed that Er3+ ions were successfully doped into ZnO nanostructures as no diffraction peaks of Er or erbium oxide were observed in the pattern. EDX results also confirmed that Er ions were successfully incorporated into the lattice position of Zn ions in ZnO. HRSEM characterization showed that presence of Er3+ ions in crystal structure of ZnO can change the morphology i.e. the transformation of nanorods to nanocones. Nanorods-like structure obtained with 1 at.% Er extend to nanocones-like for 3–7 at.% Er doped ZnO with changes in length and thickness in nm range. In UV–Visible absorbance spectra, a red shift was observed in the band gap of undoped ZnO and Er doped nanostructures with increasing Er concentration. PL measurements also revealed that the undoped ZnO and Er doped ZnO nanostructures had an UV emission, a defect emission and the Er ions doping induced a red shift in the UV emission with a small enhancement in the defect emission. The VSM study revealed that the undoped ZnO and Er doped ZnO nanostructures exhibit paramagnetic and ferromagnetic behaviour at room temperature respectively.

01 Dec 2012TL;DR: This paper proposes a two-step framework that automatically first identifies the domain of the specified web page and with the thus obtained domain information, classifies the web content according to the different prespecified categories.
Abstract: With the proliferation of the document corpora (commonly called as HTML documents or web pages) on the WWW, efficient ways of exploring relevant documents are of increasing importance [4, 8]. The key challenge lies in tackling the sheer volume of documents on the Web and evaluating relevancy for such a huge number. Efficient exploration needs a web crawler that can semantically understand and predict the domain of the web page through analytical processing. This will not only facilitate efficient exploration but also help in the better organization of the web content. As a search engine classifies the Search results by keyword matches, link analysis and other such mechanisms, the paper proposes a solution to the domain identification problem by finding keywords or key terms that are representative of the page's content through the elements like <META> and <TITLE> in the HTML structure of the webpage [11]. This paper proposes a two-step framework that automatically first identifies the domain of the specified web page and with the thus obtained domain information, classifies the web content according to the different pre- specified categories. The former uses the various HTML elements present in the web page while the latter is achieved using Artificial Neural Networks (ANN).

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors identify the enablers through literature survey and discussions with experts, and conclude that the two enabler namely stakeholders' view point and financial position have high driving power and therefore deserve great attention.
Abstract: With more than 5,000 technical institutions set up in India to impart technical education, this education sector is booming like never before. However, at the same time, the reports published by AICTE in 2012 indicate that more than 130 technical institutions have given application for closure. With more than one million students appearing for the engineering entrance exam, the failure of these institutions can be attributed to the non-compliance to provide quality education for producing quality graduates. Most of the technical institution still do not understand the main quality technical education enablers and how these are interrelated to each other. If, this is known prior to management, then they can plan their policies in right direction. The endeavour is being made by the authors through this paper to identify the enablers through literature survey and discussions with experts. ISM methodology and questionnaire survey has been performed to understand the intervening effect of these enablers with each other. It is found that the two enablers namely ‘Stakeholders’ view point’ and ‘Financial Position’ have high driving power and therefore deserve great attention. This study concludes with practical implication.

TL;DR: In this paper, an NH3-H2O ejector-absorption refrigeration cycle and an R-152a ejector cooling cycle were employed with a renewable energy power generator to make a proposed compact power generation and triple effect ejectorabsorption cooling cycle.
Abstract: An NH3–H2O ejector-absorption refrigeration cycle, and an R-152a ejector refrigeration cycle are employed with a renewable energy power generator to make a proposed compact power generation and triple effect ejector-absorption refrigeration cycle. The exergy analysis of the cycle leads to a possible performance improvement. Approximately 71.69% of the input exergy is destructed due to irreversibilities in different components. Around 7.976% is available as the useful exergy output. The exhaust exergy lost to the environment is 20.33%, which is lower than the exhaust energy loss of 47.95%, while the useful energy output is 27.88%. The refrigerants used are of zero ODP and negligible GWP, and the CO2 emission of the exhaust gases is very small as compared to that of the fossil fuel run engine, hence, this cycle is favorable to the global environment. The results also show that the proposed cycle has significant higher energy and exergy efficiency than the earlier investigated 'triple effect refrigeration cycle' and 'the combined power and ejector-refrigeration cycle'.

TL;DR: A hybrid mechanism that not only aims at providing good security but at the same time has high data embedding capacity and entropy values with low execution time complexity is proposed.
Abstract: With the growing internet technology over the last decade, the number of intruders trying to steal the confidential information has also risen. As a result, for the protection of secret data from unwanted access, hybrid security mechanisms employing the use of steganography to hide the encrypted data are gaining popularity. These mechanisms provide an extra level of security to the data. This paper proposes a hybrid mechanism that not only aims at providing good security but at the same time has high data embedding capacity and entropy values with low execution time complexity. To enhance the embedding capacity of the overall system, Improved Bit Plane Complex Steganography (IBPCS) along-with Huffman coding is used and for providing randomness, the use of chaos process wherever possible is done. The cryptographic technique employed is hierarchical visual cryptography due to its efficiency over other cryptographic mechanisms. The overall scheme is implemented in MATLAB-10 and the results prove that the proposed mechanism is efficient to other available schemes in literature.
