TL;DR: This paper identifies and analyses the quality enabled factors (QEFs) of the product design stage to present a hierarchy-based model based on mutual relationships among the QEFs using a relationship modelling approach, i.e. the ‘interpretive structural modelling (ISM) approach’.
Abstract: The product design stage is the most vital stage of a production system life cycle (PSLC) as it forms the foundation of the production system. The success of a production system relies on efficient...

TL;DR: An innovative hybrid approach for automatic keyword extraction using statistical and linguistic features of a document has been proposed and takes full advantage of all the features of the document to extract the keywords.
Abstract: WWW is a decentralized, distributed and heterogeneous information resource. With increased availability of information through WWW, it is very difficult to read all documents to retrieve the desired results; therefore there is a need of summarization methods which can help in providing contents of a given document in a precise manner. Keywords of a document may provide a compact representation of a document's content. As a result various algorithms and systems intended to carry out automatic keywords extraction have been proposed in the recent past. However, the existing solutions require either training models or domain specific information for automatic keyword extraction. To cater to these shortcomings an innovative hybrid approach for automatic keyword extraction using statistical and linguistic features of a document has been proposed. This statistical and linguistic technique based keyword extraction works on an individual document without any prior parameter change and takes full advantage of all the features of the document to extract the keywords. The extracted keywords can than assist in domain specific indexing. The performance of the proposed method as compared to existing Keyword Extraction tools such as Dream web design etc. in terms of Precision and Recall are also presented in this paper.

TL;DR: A common life cycle approach is proposed that is applicable for different kinds of methods and a mapping function for mapping of traditional methods to Agile methods is described.
Abstract: Agility is bringing in responsibility and ownership in individuals, which will eventually bring out effectiveness and efficiency in deliverables. Companies are drifting from traditional Software Development Life Cycle models to Agile Environment for the purpose of attaining quality and for the sake of saving cost and time. In Traditional models, life cycle is properly defined and also phases are elaborated by specifying needed input and output parameters. On the other hand, in Agile environment, phases are specific to methodologies of Agile - Extreme Programming etc. In this paper a common life cycle approach is proposed that is applicable for different kinds of methods. This paper also aims to describe a mapping function for mapping of traditional methods to Agile methods.

TL;DR: A review of the state of the art of vermicomposting technology is presented in this paper, including the process, various stages, characteristics, and benefits of VPC.
Abstract: The disposal and management of solid wastes is a technical and ecological challenge throughout the globe because of their quantities and heterogeneous nature. Vermicomposting is one of the most ecologically and economically sound technologies for handling the biodegradable organic fraction of solid wastes. A large variety of such wastes of plant and animal origins can be gainfully vermicomposted at different scales varying from a household bin to a city level. Vermicompost also has excellent manurial properties as a soil conditioner and fertilizer, being a source of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and other nutrients for plants. These virtues make vermicomposting a good option for processing the enormous quantities of biodegradable organic solid wastes that are generated in huge quantities. In this chapter, a review of the state of the art of vermicomposting technology is presented, including the process, various stages, characteristics, and benefits of vermicompost.

TL;DR: This paper evaluates the performance of routing protocols for mobility models such as Random Way Point (RWP), Random Walk (RW) and Random Direction (RD) under idealistic and realistic conditions based on a parameter termed as Probability of Reachability (POR).
Abstract: The mobility models are used to represent the unpredictable movement pattern of the nodes in Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) and give us an idea regarding their location, velocity and acceleration change over time. These models are used for simulation purpose in standard software tools such as QualNet, ns-2 etc. This paper evaluates the performance of routing protocols for mobility models such as Random Way Point (RWP), Random Walk (RW) and Random Direction (RD) under idealistic and realistic conditions based on a parameter termed as Probability of Reachability (POR). The POR is defined as the fraction of reachable routes to all possible routes between all pairs of sources and destinations. For this purpose a simulator is designed in MATLAB. We observe a marked difference in value of POR under idealistic and realistic conditions.
