TL;DR: From experiment, it can be observed that the results obtained from proposed algorithm are better than or comparable to other popular techniques in literature in almost all the parameters undertaken.
Abstract: Contrast enhancement is an indispensable process for improving the subjective quality and information content of an image. Adjustment in the relative brightness and darkness of an image is done in order to attain the same. This paper employs lifting wavelet transform (LWT) to enhance the image since it is computationally inexpensive. The application of LWT results in the low and high frequency components. The former components that contain most of the information are enhanced using CLAHE algorithm while the latter are kept unchanged. In addition, a weighted average matrix which controls the level of enhancement is used to acquire the enhanced output image. To measure the efficacy, the proposed technique is implemented in MATLAB-2013 and evaluated on the basis of several performance metrics such as: absolute mean brightness error, average information content, Contrast Improvement Index, degree of entropy unpreserved, Structural Similarity Index, Universal Quality Index. From experiment, it can be observed that the results obtained from proposed algorithm are better than or comparable to other popular techniques in literature in almost all the parameters undertaken.

TL;DR: Some construction methods for punctured binary array/sequence pairs (PBAPs/PBSPs) with ideal/optimal correlation constant are presented using their algebraic counterparts punctured difference set pairs in Abelian groups.
Abstract: In this paper, we present some construction methods for punctured binary array/sequence pairs (PBAPs/PBSPs) with ideal/optimal correlation constant using their algebraic counterparts punctured difference set pairs in Abelian groups. In addition, we provide new construction techniques of PBAPs/PBSPs via geometry and also using the embeddable sequence pairs of smaller lengths to obtain larger ones. PBAPs/PBSPs find a plethora of applications in radar systems, cryptography, frame synchronization, mismatched filtering, and various other engineering fields.

TL;DR: With the rapidﻷ growthﻵgrowth﻽ofﻴdigital-digital- digital-digitalﻹ information-and-user-needs, £1.5bn-worth of assets are expected to be created within the next 12 months.
Abstract: With the rapid growth of digital information and user need, it becomes imperative to retrieve relevant and desired domain or topic specific documents as per the user query quickly. A focused crawler plays a vital role in digital libraries to crawl the web so that researchers can easily explore the domain specific search results list and find the desired content against the query. In this article, a focused crawler is being proposed for online digital library search engines, which considers meta-data of the query in order to retrieve the corresponding document or other relevant but missing information (e.g. paid publication from ACM, IEEE, etc.) against the user query. The different query strategies are made by using the meta-data and submitted to different search engines which aim to find more relevant information which is missing. The result comes out from these search engines are filtered and then used further for crawling the Web.

TL;DR: A Light Weight Efficient Cluster based routing Model for Mobile Ad hoc Networks” (LWEC) is proposed in which the life of cluster-head is prolonged by reducing the unnecessary load on cluster- head.
Abstract: In recent few decades mobile ad hoc network have gained attention among researchers due to its extemporized nature. Routing of packets in these networks is very challenging task due to the mobility of nodes and dependency on small battery to remains active in the network. Flat routing schemes impose the great control overhead over network and perform poorly when number of terminals is increases. Cluster based routing schemes for MANETs has evolved an important alternative as it allows the scalability of network and better utilization of resources. In many clustering schemes a cluster contains a special node called cluster-head. Cluster-head act as a coordinator in its cluster. Since the cluster-head has to perform additional tasks in compare to other nodes in the network therefore it becomes over loaded and drains its battery more rapidly than other nodes in network. In this work “A Light Weight Efficient Cluster based routing Model for Mobile Ad hoc Networks” (LWEC) is proposed in which the life of cluster-head is prolonged by reducing the unnecessary load on cluster-head.

TL;DR: Digraph and matrix methodology has been utilised for determining the impact of different measures on the performance of FMS with the help of a single numerical value, i.e., index of performance, to develop a model to manage these measures.
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to identify and analyse various measures and sub-measures that could influence the performance of flexible manufacturing system (FMS) and to develop a model to manage these measures. In this research work, digraph and matrix methodology has been utilised for determining the impact of different measures on the performance of FMS with the help of a single numerical value, i.e., index of performance. The findings of this study have important managerial significance. The management can determine the measures which strongly affect the performance of FMS with the help of this approach and can obtain better insight and guidelines for determining various decisions relating to process and operations improvement to improve the performance of the system. The procedure helps to compare different industries in terms of their performance index. If the performance index value of an industry is not as per with the required range, then, performance index of all the measures should be compared and weak measures should be made stronger by making improvements in the concerned measuring elements. Evaluation of performance index for an organisation, comparison of different industries performance and ways to improve the performance are a unique contribution in this domain.
