11 May 2012TL;DR: A more network efficient approach for extracting the volatile information from the web server using migrants has been developed with the help of table of volatile information, which further helps in reducing the network load significantly.
Abstract: Due to the dynamic nature of the web, it becomes very difficult for a search engine to provide fresh information to the user. An incremental crawler downloads modified contents only from the web for a search engine, thereby helps reducing the network load. This network load further can be reduced by using migrants. The migrants migrate to the web server for the purpose of downloading, filtering and compressing the documents before transferring them to the search engine side. In this paper a more network efficient approach for extracting the volatile information from the web server using migrants has been developed with the help of table of volatile information, which further helps in reducing the network load significantly.

TL;DR: Results of the experimentation show that the proposed model can effectively classify the instances in the classes of their respective categories of code smells and the model itself performs better than the other compared algorithms in terms of accuracy, precision, recall and F-measure.
Abstract: Software maintenance is one of the most costly activities in software life cycle. It costs almost 70% of the total cost of the software. Testing aims to reveal the faults from the software under test (SUT). The fault localization is tiresome, dull, costly but crucial for program debugging. As size and complexity of software increase, manual locating faults becomes very tedious and hence necessitates automatic fault localization. If the fault proneness of the software components can be predicted, then such components may be given more focus. Such approach would not only save time but also enhance the quality of the software. Support vector machine (SVM) is a prominent machine learning algorithm. Regularization of parameters, convex optimization and kernel tricks are the prevailing features of SVM. This work reports a SVM-based framework for fault localization on the basis of code smells. Paper presents a performance analysis against four popular algorithms, namely ZeroR, OneR, Naive Bayes and Decision Stump. The proposed model is empirically evaluated in the reference of Json project. The results of the experimentation show that the proposed model can effectively classify the instances in the classes of their respective categories of code smells. Also, the kernel used in the proposed model gives better performance than counterpart kernels and the proposed model itself performs better than the other compared algorithms in terms of accuracy, precision, recall and F-measure.

01 Oct 2018TL;DR: A Harmony Search method for deciding optimal switching angles for firing the switches of multilevel inverter to operate under all operating conditions, which proves that the power quality is enhanced.
Abstract: Cascaded Multilevel Inverters with isolate DC source have proven to be extremely beneficial in medium voltage and high-power applications. And DC normally has variations, which disturbs power quality of any system. The idea of this paper is to propose a Harmony Search method for deciding optimal switching angles for firing the switches of multilevel inverter to operate under all operating conditions. The HS Algorithm aims to lower the voltage deviation of fundamental component from desired value and diminish the harmonics. Along with THD minimization, the algorithm also focuses on decreasing even order harmonics and DC component to negligible. The proposed technique is tested with equal, unequal, equal and time-varying supply with non-linear and dynamic load. Analysis proves that the algorithm efficiently calculates the switching angles under all operating conditions. And more essentially, simulated output voltage and current equals calculated theoretical values, which mean the power quality is enhanced. For validation, the results are compared with the Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) results.

01 Oct 2019TL;DR: The performance of DSTATCOM is found satisfactory in terms of load balancing, power factor improvement, source current harmonic elimination, and self-regulated DC bus voltage using adaptive control technique under steady state and dynamic condition using nonlinear load.
Abstract: this adaptive control technique has been developed for four-leg VSC based DSTATCOM using MATLAB Simulink environment and implemented in three phase four wire distribution systems. In this technique three reference currents are estimated from fundamental active power component of three distorted load currents. The performance of DSTATCOM found satisfactory in terms of load balancing, power factor improvement, source current harmonic elimination, and self-regulated DC bus voltage using adaptive control technique under steady state and dynamic condition using nonlinear load.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a new decision making framework to facilitate sustainable management on the basis of questionnaire based survey in Indian industries, which is based on weighted interpretive structural modelling (W-ISM) an extended version of interpretive Structured Modeling (ISM) has been used to find effectiveness index and identify the strong and weak areas, to establish a relationship and to identify driving and dependence powers among operational issues in sustainable supply chain management.
Abstract: For sustainable management, i.e., environmental, economic and social issues in supply chain, there is an urge need to focus on operational issues. This current research presents a new decision making framework to facilitate this on the basis of questionnaire based survey in Indian industries. Nine operational issues in sustainable supply chain management are considered in this research for analysis. Regarding this, weighted interpretive structural modelling (W-ISM) an extended version of interpretive structural modelling (ISM) has been used to find effectiveness index and to identify the strong and weak areas, to establish a relationship and to identify driving and dependence powers among operational issues in sustainable supply chain management. The results of this analysis are highly beneficial towards society and environment perspectives for industries.
