01 Dec 2012TL;DR: In this article, a fuzzy logic controller is integrated in Synchronous Reference Frame (SRF) topology to minimize the transient time of active filter, which evaluates energy of capacitor rather than voltage and analyzes a fast response.
Abstract: A new control strategy is proposed for power quality enhancement in the three phase three wire system. A fuzzy logic controller is integrated in Synchronous Reference Frame (SRF) topology to minimize the transient time of Active filter. The proposed algorithm evaluates energy of capacitor rather than voltage and analyzes a fast response. A comparison has been made to analyze the performance in transient time using conventional and proposed controller when there is abrupt fall in load. The model is developed using MATLAB / “SimPower Systems” Block library.

TL;DR: In this paper, an exploratory questionnaire survey consisting of three parts was distributed out among 398 organizations in NCR region and industrial town Bhiwadi (Rajasthan) India.
Abstract: Implementation of quality tools and techniques (QT&T) has exemplified many benefits over the years in manufacturing as well as in service organisations. Previous surveys on QT&T emphasised mainly upon performance of products, processes and services of the organisations and have not addressed about implications and adaptability of QT&T categories. The purpose of this survey research is to scrutinise different categories of QT&T and to examine the level of adoption, applicability, benefits and challenges faced by various organisations in NCR region and industrial town Bhiwadi (Rajasthan) India. An exploratory questionnaire survey consisting of three parts was distributed out among 398 organisations. A total of 26.63% response rate was received out of 106 organisations. The collected data was analysed by using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS 18) software to validate multi dimensional unfolding test. Categories like problem solving tools, productivity tools and performance measurement tools retain to be most dominant for improving efficiency of organisations contributed by transformational Shepard plot.

Abstract: In this paper the closed form expression of delay model based on effective lump element resistance & capacitance, approximated distributed RC lines are presented with resistive load termination. The inductive effect is dominant at lower technology node is modelled using characteristic impedance of transmission line. First order transfer function is designed by applying the boundary condition at the source and load termination. And the dominant pole is calculated which determines the system response and delay of proposed model. A step response for restive load termination is developed. And it is accurately modelled for use in current mode signalling. For smaller value of load resistance, the peak value on line is decreased and due to it system performance gets improved in terms speed and average power consumption. From the mathematical analysis it has been analytically evaluated that current mode signalling is 2.77 times better than voltage mode.

01 Jan 2022TL;DR: In this paper , the effect of hexagonal phase, monoclinic phase, reaction time, and temperature on electrochemical properties of BiPO4 nanostructures prepared with microwave technique was reported.
Abstract: Bismuth phosphate nanostructures act as an active electrode material for next-generation energy storage device applications. Here, we report the effect of hexagonal phase, monoclinic phase, reaction time, and temperature on electrochemical properties of BiPO4 nanostructures prepared with microwave technique. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns of the synthesized materials confirmed the formation of pure phase formation BiPO4 nanostructures. The Debye Scherrer formula calculated the size of the crystals. All the synthesized bismuth phosphate materials are in the nanometers range, which was also exposed to Field Effect Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM) assessment. Optical properties are explained by Raman spectra and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). Electrochemical properties are studied via cyclic voltammetry (CV), galvanostatic charge–discharge (GCD), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) techniques. The power law is used to confirm the behavior of the electrode, i.e., of battery type or supercapacitor type. This power law is applicable to CV curves of the samples. Further, the specific capacity was calculated from the GCD curve. The study reveals that bismuth phosphate can be used as an efficient electrode material for energy storage device applications.

TL;DR: A logical methodology to select a right cutting fluid using a novel multiple attribute decision making (MADM) method, i.e., complex proportional assessment (COPRAS) method is presented.
Abstract: The selection of right cutting fluid in the industrial environment is an important and complex issue due to their negative effects on health, safety, and environment, legislation and public environmental concerns. Although a number of mathematical approaches are available in literature to evaluate, select and rank the cutting fluids for the given machining conditions, but there is still need for a simple and systematic methodology to guide the user in selection of right cutting fluid for the given machining application. This paper presents a logical methodology to select a right cutting fluid using a novel multiple attribute decision making (MADM) method, i.e., complex proportional assessment (COPRAS) method. Two illustrative examples are presented from the literature to illustrate the capability and potential of COPRAS method in selection of cutting fluid and the results obtained by the COPRAS method are compared with the results obtained by the past researchers.
